***Prizes for ride a thon announced***

I'm pretty sure these pieces will do something cool.

One of the things I'm guessing is that the blizzard beach piece will turn your boat into a blizzard beach mobile and the typhoon lagoon piece will turn your boat into a typhoon lagoon vehicle otherwise they probably wouldn't have named it different pieces (btw I'm am not very sure this is true so don't take my advice, I'm new to this investigator thing :rotfl: ).

I also have noticed that the blizzard beach slide piece is blue like the blizzard beach outfit (by outfit I mean top) and the typhoon lagoon piece is orange like the typhoon lagoon outfit. Hhhmmm.... interesting

I feel like Sherlock Holmes :lmao:

EDIT: Woohoo! 100th post!!! Yay me :)

All I can say is that at least it is something new, and I may add improved. :thumbsup2. I will not be on this weekend for enough time to pick any up, but thats okay I guess I'll be trading.

It seems now we will have 3 differents types of slide rides we will be able to ride on. Just like the Alice/Pan ride. The middle tracks are all the same, but the start pieces determine what ride vehicle you get. Same with these new Water Slide Start pieces. We will use the same ups, downs, straights, and turns, but each ride start piece will determine what you will be riding on/in. To me its pretty cool considering the difference. I just cant wait to see what we will be riding on/in for the BB and TL starts .

I just heard someone say that the blue start piece means you ride in the blizzard beach outfit and the orange start piece means you start in the typhoon lagoon outfit

It does make some sense but I'm not sure. This is what I read and it could be a rumour :thumbsup2

Wow, I am disappointed in the prizes. I was looking foward to riding all weekend (and chatting). Guess that frees up my weekend now :thumbsup2 I only need ONE start piece of each, and probably not even that many because I doubt I'll even build a water ride, LOL! :rotfl2:

well I plan on getting a lot of them... remember the water track, if someone falls off, they need a start track piece to get back ON....

I might as well throw my thought in. Perhaps the new starts will "hold us on the ride" like the dark ride track. Making building easier becasue the room doesn't need to be cordaned off. Also meaning people will not be hanging out in ride rooms that the owner isn't present or wanting people to hang out in.

The prizes do look interesting. After all the price is right.

I do wish they would add the up and down track pieces to the ride a thon, put them in stores, or make them tradeable.

Just my 2 cents!

:headache: So then how are we supposed to get Nemo middles???

Oh well, the prizes could certainly be worse. I'll definitely be riding several times each day, regardless.

Oh, and to put another positive spin on things, they're continuing to change various sections of the newsletter. Despite silence from Yavn, these changes are still showing that there's still time and effort being put into the game, which means it doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon.

After all that waiting to see what the prize was going to be... they hit me with this....

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

But I do think when you get on them they will change what you are wearing... something like our clothes that we got this month.

Also like everyone else.... I'm Not Impressed!!:sad2:

With all the things happening in VMK lately (shutting down Disneyland VMK  rerunning old quests over and over, old rooms reissued, missing persons, etc) it seems likely that their budget has been slashed down to nothing. We are lucky that we have VMK at all it seems.

The new things we saw this month were probably in the works long before they got the slashed budget news.

I bet that the new items will continue to be sparse until without any warning they shut the whole game down.

My 2 cents is Yavn will not be back. They probably transferred him to another big project and left a skeleton crew behind to run things for the next few months until Summer is over....then:confused3

Sorry for all the negativity, signs point to this eventuality.:sad2: :guilty:

Yes but how will we finish our submarine now. I was so looking forward to getting the middle pieces.:confused3 :confused3

I'm going to buy some of the old start pieces in case they remove them.

Probably not a bad call... Although keep in mind one day they decided all the crates should be slightly a different size - that didn't cause too much damage (lol) Point being you zig they zag - they could just convert them all into a default type or something crazy.

Hmmm, I guess I am one of many who is NOT impressed with the prizes being given out this weekend. Top that off with NOT being able to trade the up/down pieces from last weekend's quest and it is just plain :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: AND .... when are we supposed to be able to get the "hill" pieces for the Alice ride :confused3 :confused3

How in the heck are we supposed to get all the ride pieces if you can not trade them and they really are not the cheapest things to buy considering what you actually get. If VMK is gearing towards the possibility of having a ride building competition, just my thoughts, then they need to bring back "double credit" days.

It is summer and if VMK *really* wants to keep its members happy and coming back on a daily basis, they need to seriously think about doing something spectacular, because right now I see no real motivation to come on everyday. Except of course to visit with friends and let the "ladies" rule the high seas :lmao: :lmao:

Amen.

 Yikes! What a thought. I certainly hope not, as water tracks are the "default" in some of my ride rooms because of their clean look. (No pun intended!) I'd prefer to decide myself if I want a special raft added.

Yes, that was quite a day when they changed the crate size, right before the first ever ride team competition. Everyone had to scramble to repair their rides, and my Best Guest Room was never the same.....
