We're having our Halloween party this weekend. It's a big party attended by adults and kids ranging in age from about 6 to 15. It's always a challenge to come up with the right balance of activities to keep the younger kids busy but not bore the older teenagers to death. Fortunately the older kids are usually really good sport and go along with things "for the little kids"
.
One of the things we're doing is to put a nametag on their backs and they have to figure out who's name is on the tag. Once they have a guess, they have to come find me and if they've got it they can pick a prize out of the prize box. Finding stuff for the littler kids is pretty easy. But the older kids, well this is where I'm stumped. I'm at a loss as to what prizes to have in there for the older boys.
My daughter had a great suggestion for the girls - Silly Bands (just now catching on here even though I know they are passe in many parts of the country.) We found a bucket at our local Hallmark store that had 50 packages of 2 bands each, and since it was 50% off it was even more perfect.
But the older boys are proving more challenging. I asked my son and he had no good ideas at all. So I'm looking for suggestions. I'd like to keep it bugdet friendly (we've got a lot of kids coming) but still something they might like.
Suggestions?
