Can anyone give me any info on this please? What locations can you have the photos taken is it just resorts or the parks? How much does it cost? How many pics do they take? How do you book it? Thanks in advance.

do you mean the one that is done at GF?
here is some info for you- you have 2 options , the first is to have the sitting for around $50 but on top you pay for the photos, the 2nd option is to pay for the photopass-this is around $100 or more but includes the sitting and all ythe photos and you can also add phots on it for the rest of your holiday when you go around the theme parks-this 2nd option is the best deal

Just found this info for you

For families who would like to bring home an extra special picture from the Walt Disney World vacation, the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is now accepting reservations for Portrait Sessions. Guests can book their portrait sessions at the special Disney PhotoPass desk located on the second floor of the Grand Floridian just outside the popular glass elevator. Alternatively, guests can book their sessions prior to their trips to Walt Disney World by calling 407-824-1700.

Each session includes a consultation prior to the actual photo shoot where guests can discuss wardrobe, photo locations, themes and more. During the Portrait Session, a Disney PhotoPass photographer will lead guests throughout the Grand Floridian to some of its most beautiful spots for what I can only imagine will be beautiful pictures.

Currently, guests can choose between two Portrait Session packages. A single sitting is just $49.95, or for $124.95, guests can get their sitting and all the pictures taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers throughout their stay at Walt Disney World on a PhotoPass CD.

Thanks for that tracy :thumbsup2 I didnt know they did the photo sessions at different resorts now

We did two of these sessions just a couple of weeks ago - one at the Polynesian and one at the Grand Floridian. We only booked the sessions a couple days before; I don't think advance booking is particularly necessary. You meet your photographer at the PhotoPass desk in the resort and then they take you around to some of the most beautiful locations. Our sessions lasted about 30 minutes, and once over you get taken back to the desk to look over the photos. We took our leis with us at the Polynesian, and had a couple of "fun" pictures wearing them. We also took Mickey ears and had a couple pictures with the children wearing them. I'd highly recommend the sessions - they are excellent value and the photographers really know what they're doing to capture you and your family at your best. We booked early morning sessions; these were ideal because not only does the weather tend to be clearer in the early AM, but there are also far fewer people around.

Thank you all so much for the information. Just been looking at the link you posted Jeanette and it looks like they have started the Wilderness Lodge photo sessions now so I will book one for our December trip. :woohoo:

Does anyone have the number to call & book?

I will have a look if I can find it for you now, you have to wait until 30days out though. I am booked in at the GF on 30th August got the last sitting as the sun is starting to set. Because I preordered the photopass cd and get the sittings for $25 I may decide to do another resort as well. :goodvibes

So, if you order the photopass CD, in effect you get these pictures for free? You just need to book?

You get them for $25 which is just the sitting fee the photos just get added to your photopass cd at no charge, but if you wanted a print out of any of those pictures while you was there then you would have to pay. I prebooked to get the time I want but you can book when you get to disney.

So for only $25 a sitting, you get all the pictures added? That's brill! How many do they take? As many as you want?

Thanks for that tracy :thumbsup2 I didnt know they did the photo sessions at different resorts now

i only found out, because i can't stay off this site:)
hubby just rolls his eyes, but how else, would i have found out, about the photo session:confused3 it will be a great opportunity,to have some lovely photos,of our 2 new adopted grandsons.i really can't wait!

I have heard some people say they get 30 - 70 odd I think for me as ill only be with my bf ill probably get 70+ I think you end up with less if its a family and children are not cooperating. You get however many they can take in 30 minutes and they will all be added to the photopass. I will be able to tell you more when we get back.

i think you get a set time.either 20 or 30 mins.so it would depend,how many people,are in your group.
there will be 7 of us.me & hubby are taking our grandaughter, with us.then we are meeting up,with our son & his family,so there are alot of variations,of shots, that i want,so i am going to book 2 sessions, back to back.hopefully,we will get quite a few shots.

Thank you for the tel no. :goodvibes When you call do you just tell them you have pre ordered the photopass or is there a reference number or something else you need to quote?

You just need to show your preorder reference when you arrive. I also mentioned it on the phone. You just ring 30days from the day you want. The number I gave you is for GF I think the other resorts have other numbers their is a thread in the resorts forum about the photos that should have the numbers for the other resorts.
