Princesses don't hit, kick or spit! A May/June TR Update 10/17 Snow White Theme Night

Happy birthday to Ben and Christian! My little brother in has the same type of party's as your Christian! I think it's a teenage thing:confused3 I love that Ben likes to cook and I love that cake, I just showed it to Damien and he says that he would like that cake! So I will have to find those cars! I hope that everyone had a good day at school!

Life getting in the way of a TR...naw, how did that happen! My life is about to get really crazy...2 nights of music lessons, Abs cheer schedule, Boo's football practice, Goo's soccer practice, church, boy scouts...hmmm what else can we fit into the week besides HOMEWORK!

:scared1:20 teenagers in a basement...you a better mom then me! Thank goodness you have a basement (and I hope lots of air freshners)!

Your boys are so handsome on the first day of school! I love Ben's cake...what great birthday presents and you got to share in his birthday cooking!

Yeah, I didn't even mention how busy we are with baseball and soccer and then Emily starts up her dance classes in the beginning of September!

I guess 20 is better than 200 right? :rotfl: No super sweet sixteen party but the kids should have fun. Ever since the basement has been remodeled it's been "the place" for all of his friends to hang out. Which in a way is a blessing because I always know where Christian is and know he's not getting into trouble. We have a full size air hockey, foosball and pinball machine in the game room and then in the theater/video game area there is 2 flat screens and enough entertainment to keep them busy. One thing we will be doing is making sure the bar is cleared of any and all alcohol, I trust my DS whole heartedly, just not sure I trust all of those kids!

Ben is so hard to buy for and when I found those kids kitchen sets I knew it would be perfect for him, he loves them. He also got a Paula Deen kids cookbook and a kids Rachel Ray cookbook which I promised that we will make one dinner a week from:)

:bday: to Ben!!!!

Thanks!

Cute update, Ben is too cute as a little chef!! Happy B-day to him!

Thank You! He wants to be a chef when he grows up and have his own cooking show on the Food Network!

Happy Birthday Ben and Christine!! :bday:

Thank You:goodvibes

That does sound like a pretty busy time for you right now. Love the apron and matching chef's hat!

Thanks, I love that little set, Emily wants her own now too and they have a pink and pruple set so Santa may be bringing her it ;)

Thank you! Yeah, I was all ready to throw Christian a big sixteenth party but he didn't want one, just a few friends to come over and hang out. Fine by me, saved me some money:lmao: Those cars on the cake are actually erasers! I was looking for some smaller cars to go on the cake and found those at Toys R Us. They all are loving school so far, well except Christian. He isn't loving getting up at 5:30am for school and neither am I:sad2:

Alright so I'm finally back with an update, again I apologize for dragging this thing out, I promised I wouldn't do that so I'll try to be better. Only a day and a half left of the trip to report so I should be done by Christmas :rotfl2:

When I left you guys Emily and I had just visited with the wonderful Tremaine ladies. We met up with the rest of the gang and decided to go see Philharmagic again. I made sure to park Emily's stroller this time so that she wasn't left in it again :rotfl: Next stop was Peter Pan and It's a Small World. I personally love both and yes I am one of those people who take a million pictures of Small World, of course with the flash off. I think after many rides I probably could put together an album with just Small World pictures, but I only bore you with one from the end!

We then moved on to finally ride one of my favorites, The Haunted Mansion! I really wanted to do the standby line so I could see the new stuff but it was starting to rain and the thought of getting wet wasn't appealing especially with my recently made over princess so we went through the handicapped entrance. Doing this you don't get to go in the stretching room which is a bummer so we probably won't do it again but it was worth missing to not get drenched. Some wonderful person kept getting out of their buggy while we were riding so we stopped a few times. One point we were backwards on an incline, I had Sam with me who was not thrilled about this, he was a little bit spooked, lol. But we all loved the new ending, I hadn't told anyone about it so they all were happily surprised!

This is an old picture of mine of the mansion, because of the rain I didn't have my camera out too much at this point but I wanted to give you a visual of my favorite ride!

Can you see Mr Toad back there?

So we come off of the ride and the rain is really coming down now, we decide to head over to the Colombia Harbour House and get an early lunch. Again no pictures, but we all really enjoyed our meals, the kids all got chicken nuggets of course, MIL for the tuna sandwich which is really good, DN and I got the chicken nuggets (I don't eat fish) and DH and ODS got the nuggets and fish basket. We took our time eating because of the rain but soon made our way out and worked our way over to Frontierland.

We passed by this guy, I normally would have wanted to stop but I have to admit that I was getting a bit bummed about the rain, my poor Emily in all of her princess glory was now having to wear a darn raincoat to protect herself from getting drenched. So I was a little cranky and we passed him by:rolleyes:

The rained had slowed to a small sprinkle but we figured since we were already wet why not? So our next stop was....

175-2.jpg

My MIL and Ben didn't want to ride so they stayed dry in the gift shop and waited for us. My DN hadn't rode this on her last trip and would you believe my DH has never riden it either? He never wanted to get wet but took the plunge this year and loved it. He now realizes what he has been missing out on all of these years! It was also Miss Emily's first time riding but because she didn't want to get her dress or hair wet this is how she rode ;)

Everyone wanted to ride BTM next, I went and relieved my MIL so she could ride with them and me and Ben shopped a bit and finally found him a hat he liked (remembered he didn't like any of the ears I tried to buy him earlier in the week).

Not the best picture of Ben but isn't that hat cute? It has characters riding MK rides all around the hat. Love it!

Well it started to rain hard again so the camera got put away. I was really getting annoyed at this point with the rain but tried to stay upbeat. We rode POTC and hung our in the shop there for a bit, waiting for the rain to stop. It didn't so we decided to make the most of it and found a table next to Aloha Isle and DH went and got us some treats. I recieved my Dole Whip float and now I was happy:cloud9: We stayed there for a while, we were happliy surprised when we had a guest come out.

Once people saw Tiana over where we were it got a bit crowded so since the rain slowed down we decided to get out of there. We had contemplated going back to the resort for a bit but none of the kids (including the big ones) wanted to leave so we made our way back over to Tomorrowland.

We rode Buzz and then headed over to Space Mountain. I spied Chip and Dale in their space costumes so I told DH to go ahead with ODS, DN and Sam while we got in line for pictures. I love Chip and Dale, they are so cute!

The little diva, waiting for her turn

Met up the the rest of the family and went back over into Fantasyland, we hadn't done the teacups yet so we took a spin.

We wandered around a bit before heading towards the front of the park, we had ADRs at 1900 Park Fare coming up and we hadn't seen the princesses yet so we made our way up to Exposition Hall!

Up next Princesses and a dinner we won't forget!

Splash Mountain is for sure my favorite ride!!! And if you're already a little wet...even better! ;) Ha!

Sounds like you had a really fun afternoon despite the rain!

Ooooo princesses! :surfweb:

Boo to all the rain :sad2: especially after a recent princess makeover, but it sounds like you guys found a way around it and had fun :thumbsup2 That stinks that you miss the stretching room when you go in the other entrance...I can't wait to see the new ending when we go!!

I love Ben's hat, very cute!! And Emily looks great in her diva pose waiting in the stroller :goodvibes

I finally had a chance to get all caught up, love the BBB pics.

What an awesome moment for the Fairy Godmother to appear during the photoshoot, the photos are adorable.

That's too bad about the rain, hopefully it did not continue into the evening.

Can't wait to hear about your dinner with the stepsisters :goodvibes

Too bad about all of the rain on your BBB day. I can see all of the puddles in your Chip and Dale pictures. At least it didn't stop you from doing some great attractions! I think Splash Mountian when you are wet anyway is a great choice!

It was so nice that Tiana came out right where you were and you didn't have to wait in a line to see her.

I haven't been on the Haunted Mansion in YEARS. My girls think it will be too scary. :sad2:

I think the had that Ben picked is out of the new Fantasy line. I have been stalking a few things on Disneystore.com. It is all so cute!

How fast did that tea cup spin with DH, DS and DN all in it! I think I am sick just thinking about it!:rotfl2:

I so love the picture of Chip and Dale covering Ben's eyes! Looks like he took that quite well!

Glad you guys made the most of the rain...I think you just have to do that! Who is going to care that you look like a dripping mess...they look that way too!

I love Splash too and loved that my DH was finally riding it! We did make the most of the rain, thankfully it was the only day that we really had a good amount of it.

Awwww, too bad about the rain! But it sounds like you guys had a great day regardless!

We did, thanks!

We did have fun despite the rain! Yeah, I didn't realize we would be missing the streching room by going in that other entrance so next time we'll just go in the regular line. You'll love the new end, have you cheated and looked at it on You tube yet?

Yes, the rain did stink but when at WDW you have no choice but to keep to the plan right?

Seeing Tiana again was a nice treat!

Luckily my kids have never been afraid of the Haunted Mansion, if they were I'd still be riding by myself;)

I'll have to look for more from that line online, I love that hat!

They were spinning way too fast for my taste!

Chip and Dale were great, they were very playful with all of the kids!

We did make the most of the rain, you have to when your there right? I give up all ideas of trying to look perfect while on vacation there, if you go in the heat like we do then by midday all of your makeup has melted off and my hair is pulled back in a ponytail. So a little rain didn't dampen my looks :rotfl2:
Lisa-
Are you guys in the path of Irene?

Yes Tammie, unfortunately we are :sad2: Can you believe an earthquake and hurricane all in one week? I spent all day yesterday getting things prepped for the storm. We lose power alot so I am seriously dreading this thing! The last bad storm we had was Isabel and we lost power for a whole week. We really should get a generator and everytime it storms DH goes to get one and they are sold out. My neighbor went to 5 different hardware stores and they were all out:scared1: We need to just get one so we'll have it when we need it. But we've got lots of ice and coolers standing by and if we have DH's restaurant that we can bring food to if needed. I was smart this week in my grocery shopping and bought meals that can be cooked on the grill if needed. The worst part is right now we are just sitting here waiting for this thing to come :sad1:

:scared1:What a week you have had...all I can complain about is now we are at less than 2 in of rain and now 45 days of 100 degree plus heat...and we still continue in the same weather pattern.

Good thing you thought ahead on the food!

Praying for your safety!

Looks like you had lots of fun for your MK day! I'm sorry about the rain, but you seemed to make the most of it:goodvibes

I had the earthquake and like you right now I am just sitting here waiting to get what's coming to us. My mom is in NC and we can't talk to her anymore she has no power! I hope that you guys stay safe and that when everything blows over you don't have too much to worry about.

That's a bummer it rained so much, but looks like you still had fun. How wet did you get on Splash Mountain? Was the raincoat enough to keep Emily dry? I'm wondering because I haven't been there in ten years and it was April, so I didn't care about getting wet. Since our trip is in November, I'm pretty leery of any water rides.

Hope Irene is gone and you all are fine! She's just getting to me but I think she's too far west to really do much here.

Yay on riding SM when it was raining - suppose it was the best time to ride as it didn't matter if you got wet!

Love the pics with Princess Tiana and am looking forward to the next update.

Sorry to hear you are caught up in Irene - hope you are all safe and well.

Thanks everyone for their thoughts and concerns, I am finally able to get on here. We survived Irenes wrath pretty much enscathed. We did end up losing power in the middle of the night Sunday night until yesterday afternoon but there are many people still without and may be for a week so I am thankful. There are lots of trees down around here but thankfully none in our yard, the HOA had people out here on Thursday cutting any of the low hanging branches off of the trees in the common areas so I think that really made a difference. DH's restaurant didn't lose power so I brought over all of our frozen meat so nothing went bad. As of yesterday there were lots of places without power, lots of major intersections in Annapolis and even half of the mall has been out for 2 days. The kids are home from school for the second day now, I am praying that they go tomorrow, I love them but I need a break :lmao:

Again, thanks for the well wishes, I am so thankful to have met people on here that care. We need to all exchange FB info so when all of our reports are done we can all still keep in contact!

I am hoping to come back on tonight and finish up our MK day, DH works tonight so after the kids go to bed I hopefully will get some quiet ME time!
