Princesses don't hit, kick or spit! A May/June TR Update 10/17 Snow White Theme Night

Your stromboli looked yummy! It sounds like you had a great party. The wishing stars are so cute!

Another great night! Glad your dinner was a hit! Looked good!

Thanks :goodvibes

What a great theme night!! You always have such great ideas :thumbsup2

What a beautiful Jim Shore figurine :goodvibes

Thank you, yours are always great too! I just love Jim Shore, I don't have many figurines yet because I just started collecting them. I have a couple of great M&M Christmas ones!

Trying to catch up again. Love the BBB pictures. She is so beautiful. Madi would have loved to meet Rapunzel, but we couldn't find her.

Pinnochio movie night looks like a big hit!! They are always so great
.

I have to go catch up on everyones reports as well, I'm just getting a little free time now that school is back in!

I am so happy we were able to see Rapunzel because I know how crazy those lines can get. I'm hoping by the next time we go they should be managable!

:rotfl2:Okay you beat me to the punch...we are doing Pinocchio on Friday night and had planned to make Stromboli! Great minds think alike...now how am I going to set myself apart from your wonderful night! :worship:

I love Ben's wish....a math book! That melts this former math teacher's heart!

I love the picture of the kids in front of the movie title...;) Ab tells everyone that I am "documenting for my scrapbook" and then gives the teenage eye roll! :rotfl:

That stromboli was about the easiest thing to make! I was going to make the dough myself but time got away and I ended up running up to the store and buying some premade pizza dough. Can't wait to see you ideas!

My Ben, the math genius! For his birthday last month his favorite things he got were 2 big math activity books I bought him! Most kids fall asleep with a favorite toy or stuffed animal, Ben falls asleep with a calculator and flash cards, lol. :rotfl:

Yes, I stole your idea of the kids standing in front of the tv;) And even though we've only done it a couple of times now they know to do it. It was actually Sam who paused the dvd and said it was time to take the picture!

Thanks, it was delicious! Those stars were Sam's idea, he also wanted to go outside and wish upon the real thing but it's been pouring rain here for days so we stuck to the ones on the door!

Love the Pinocchio movie day! I agree with all above, the stromboli looks great!

Thanks:cloud9:

Canned dough for us on Friday...:rotfl:

That is funny! Good for Ben to love math! I worked with a room full of teachers today terrified about math!

:rotfl2: We are getting pretty good at the picture...although the kids hate my camera...apparently I have a major flash... We did movie night with the K-Quad cousins last week and their mom laughed that all the kids knew the drill and got up before the title came on and got in places...am I really that bad?! :scared1: I am assume big brother is making himself scarce when the picture happens...

Still thinking of ideas...but we are have stromboli (the kids love it and it is EASY)!

Just wanted to pop in real quick and apologize for being a total slacker on my report. I hope you are all still out there and I promise to get on here tomorrow for an update. And I promise to get over to those of you who have reports going and catch up. Its been a wild, busy weekend for us and I am just getting everything settled and ready for the school week.

Missing you lots! Sure you are just busy with the kids...hope things are okay!

I miss your updates!! (but I do understand if life has gotten in the way...)

Ok sorry everyone for being a horrible trip report writer :guilty: It has just been so insanely busy around here that I don't even get a chance alot of nights to get on the computer, I do get to get on the boards here and there on my phone but I despise trying to type on that thing so haven't updated. The kids have been keeping me busy. Christian made the varisity fall baseball team :cheer2: The past few years we have played for a competitive travel team but we really couldn't stand the coach so this past summer Christian played for his school's JV summer team and thankfully made the fall team. He's been having 2 games during the week and double headers on Saturdays. Sam and Emily are both playing soccer, which keeps my Sundays busy as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays nights. And then Ben has been taking swimming lessons on Saturday mornings. All this and I've been volunteering at the boys school quite a bit, getting a reading program going and helping out with the fall fundraiser. And on top of that I have had Chris's family down visiting twice in the past month  So as you can see there has been no me time! I have been so exhausted lately that I have talked Emily into having "quiet times" a couple times a week where I can lay down and sneak a quick nap in while she watching a movie or plays on the laptop beside me :rolleyes1

I feel like such a bad diser for not updating my report or keeping caught up on everyone elses. I hope that I haven't lost all of you and will do my best to check in on everybody! We haven't had any theme nights lately:sad2: Poor Emily asked me the other day if we were done with the theme parties, I felt so bad! I have a Harry Potter one planned for the end of the month but I'm going to try and sneak another one in this weekend, maybe Sunday afternoon since that's the only time we'll be home!

Anyway thanks for you who have hung in there, I really miss you all and can't wait to get caught up on everyone's lives!

Still here reading along. Just caught up since we just got back from WDW last week :(. Your daughter looked so adorable after BBB. I was one of those people who waited 2 hours to see Rapunzel. I think she was on her lunch break when I got in line and then it was almost an hour for just me to get a picture. But I had a good book to read while I waited.

You live your life first, when you get a chance we'll still be here for you ;)
Sounds like you're having a busy time! I hope you get some you time too. :goodvibes

I am so glad that you posted an update! I am still here. And still no trip report for either of the trips we took ;) and we have another one coming up in 8 days!!

Thanks so much for hanging in there with me guys!

Glad you popped in and posted...I was getting worried. Everytime I do a movie night I think of you!

Ok, I'm going to try this one again. The other night I had written out half of an update and got up to do something, when I came back the window was closed. Apparently the dog had jumped up and smacked the laptop :headache: thus closing my page. Then the next night I was almost done the update when Photobucket was acting up and I had to recover the page, it's done it in the past but has never refreshed all of the windows I had open but this time it did refresh and there went my update! So on with the report, crossing fingers and toes that this time it goes through!

I last left off with us leaving the Magic Kingdom. We had 6pm ADR's at 1900 Park Fare, we took the monorail over to the Grand Floridian and made our way to the restaurant. On our last trip here we had to wait an hour and a half past our ADR time so I was a bit nervous we'd be waiting again but I was pleasantly surprised when our table was ready right away. We got our picture taken and then got sat in the room right next to the entrance. Didn't exactly love the table's location but I sure wasn't complaining because we were all starving. There were no characters anywhere near our table so I quickly grabbed the kids plates from the buffet and got myself some strawberry soup to start off with :cloud9:

The first visitor to our table was the handsome Prince Charming. Emily was really funny because she got shy all of the sudden, this was after 2 years of saying how she couldn't wait to dance with the prince again!

Next up was the lovely princess herself Cinderella. She was much more personable here that she was in MK, she spent a good amount of time with the kids and made our little princesses day!

Next to be announced was Lady Tremaine. I just love how her and the sisters stay totally in character, she wasn't exactly mean but she wasn't exactly nice either, lol. She did tell Emily that she looked much better in her blue dress than that Cinderella did! And she asked Christian if he had a good job and would be willing to take one of her daughters off of here hand :rotfl:

Finally out came the stepsisters, Drizella and Anastacia. As much as I share Emily's love for Cinderella I have to admit these girls are my favorite part about this meal! Both were staking claims on Christian's hand in marriage, which had us all laughing hysterically. Christian not so much, lol.

After all of the characters had made an appearance we got our desserts and that's when our princcess had her mishap, she fell from her chair and banged her head on the table. She got a nice little bum on her forehead. Our server was super sweet and brought out an ice pack out for us and one for later if her head was still hurting (it was one of those ones that you crack and they get cold). Also Prince Charming came over to see if she was ok, he had the magic touch because the crying stopped and she was all smiles for the rest of the evening!

Plans were to go back to MK for the evening but my MIL was tired and ready to go back to the hotel. Christian and my DN volunteered to take the bus back with her and meet up with us later. DH, the kids and I walked around a bit, exploring the hotel. Some day on an adults only trip I'd like to stay here but right now with the little ones I just feel it's too nice;)

Sammy asked if he could go play with the band :rotfl2:

At this point the kids were getting antsy so we were about to head back to MK but then the kids started asking to go back to the hotel and swim. Chris loved the idea because he was wiped out and ready to relax a bit. The commando mom in me was saying no way were closing the park down tonight, we haven't even gotten to see Wishes properly this week but the mom who loves her kids and will do anything for them said ok let's go back and swim. We texted DN and DS to let them know we were going back to the hotel, said our goodbyes to MK from the monorail and went back to POP :guilty:

We got back to the room, changed quickly into our suits and spent the next 1 1/2 swimming. DN and DS ended up coming back to POP pretty early too, they liked the idea of relaxing before our last day in the parks so after a ride or 2 back at MK they joined us!

Poor Christian! :rotfl2: I am getting excited for this ADR...booked because of you! While Prince Charming is quite nice looking...I think I prefer someone a little older...

We did 1900 Park Fare about 5 years ago -- when Suzy and Perla were part of the characters. We did it again a few years ago for breakfast - and that was fun too. But I CANNOT wait til we go in December to meet Lady Tremain and the stepsisters! I think that my villain loving girls will be all over it :thumbsup2

When I was there in September on my mom's trip, I saw them doing meet and greet by the castle - so I quickly went and bought some postcards and got in line. I got them to write a note to the girls telling them to do their chores while mom was on vacation! Love, love, love it!!:rotfl:

That's the second review I've read of 1900 PF dinner this week and on both occasions Prince Charming made the meal. I'm sorry to read about Emily banging her head.

We ate at 1900 PF for breakfast and loved it - may have to try the dinner on a future trip.

I am sure it must have been frustrating, but this:
Apparently the dog had jumped up and smacked the laptop thus closing my page.

had me :rotfl:!

I love the pictures of Cinderella and Emily sitting on the floor. So sweet! :goodvibes

Poor Emily getting a big bump. It is good that Prince Charming was there to make your little Cinderella feel better.

It can be so hard to give up your touring plans for swimming. Too bad you didn't get a great viewing of Wishes, but I am sure that the kids loved their pool time.
