Princesses don't hit, kick or spit! A May/June TR Update 10/17 Snow White Theme Night

Thanks everyone for their thoughts and concerns, I am finally able to get on here. We survived Irenes wrath pretty much enscathed. We did end up losing power in the middle of the night Sunday night until yesterday afternoon but there are many people still without and may be for a week so I am thankful. There are lots of trees down around here but thankfully none in our yard, the HOA had people out here on Thursday cutting any of the low hanging branches off of the trees in the common areas so I think that really made a difference. DH's restaurant didn't lose power so I brought over all of our frozen meat so nothing went bad. As of yesterday there were lots of places without power, lots of major intersections in Annapolis and even half of the mall has been out for 2 days. The kids are home from school for the second day now, I am praying that they go tomorrow, I love them but I need a break :lmao:

Again, thanks for the well wishes, I am so thankful to have met people on here that care. We need to all exchange FB info so when all of our reports are done we can all still keep in contact!

I am hoping to come back on tonight and finish up our MK day, DH works tonight so after the kids go to bed I hopefully will get some quiet ME time!

I am really happy that you are all safe! A lot of people here are still without power as well and it was lucky that you had DH's restaurant for the meat and to cook as well! Yes we have to exchange facebook info! :lmao:I love Damien, but I can see how you need a break:rotfl2:!

Looking forward to more TR! :grouphug:that your safe!

Totally agree!!!

I hope you get some me time tonight, cause unlike last night I am in the mood to read the DIS! Being naughty...Boo has an open house tonight at school but I am skipping it (had this teacher with the other 2 and we have been at this school for 11 years....I don't think I really need to be there), Ab has 3 volleyball games to cheer (thank goodness they are home games and the gym is a block away...even though her school is clear across town), Boo has football practice (DH took time) and then DH has church finance meeting. Busy night...but by skipping open house I get to spend it at home.

That's a bummer it rained so much, but looks like you still had fun. How wet did you get on Splash Mountain? Was the raincoat enough to keep Emily dry? I'm wondering because I haven't been there in ten years and it was April, so I didn't care about getting wet. Since our trip is in November, I'm pretty leery of any water rides.

I've never gotten really wet on Splash but I may have just lucked out every time we've riden it. Emily's raincoat did the trick in keeping her dry, I love those raincoats, I got them from Disney Store online a couple of years ago. They are really thin so they can wear them when it's hot out and not sweat to death and since they are thin they fold up really small so they don't take up much room in my backpack!

Yay on riding SM when it was raining - suppose it was the best time to ride as it didn't matter if you got wet!

Love the pics with Princess Tiana and am looking forward to the next update.

Sorry to hear you are caught up in Irene - hope you are all safe and well.

We are all sade, thanks for the thoughts!

Seeing Tiana was definately a nice surprise and it brightened Emily's day!

Just subbed! I'm loving your TR. Your family is adorable. :goodvibes

:welcome: So glad to have you along!

Your schedule sounds as busy as mine. Thankfully there have been no practices for the kids sports these past few days! Hope you got some of that quiet time you deserved tonight!

OK folks, back to the report:thumbsup2

We were heading towards the front of the park, we hadn't seen any princesses yet and my little princess was itching to see some!

We stopped along the way for some more PP pictures in front of the castle, yes as you can see I got my moneys worth for that Photopass CD!

We made our way to Exposition Hall and got in the line for the princesses. We only had to wait maybe 5 minutes or so and we were brought in.

First up was Emily's favorite, Cinderella! Emily has been a fan of Cinderella since before her first trip to WDW but back then she was calling her Ella Ella.

As you can see here, there was someone else who was quite excited to see some princesses!

And someone who wasn't so sure about this princess thing :rotfl:

Waiting for the next princess

Up next was one of my favorites, Belle

And finally Aurora, who was so sweet and talked to the kids for a while

Even DH loved Aurora

So here's my thoughts on the princesses we saw here, I thought Aurora was the only one that was really interacted well with the kids. Cinderella and Belle were ok but just kinda took the pic, signed their books and that was it. I was a bit disappointed but we would see more princesses later to make up for it!

We came out and decided to head back in and see Mickey and Minnie since the wait time was only 10 minutes. I loved the set they have them on, so many cute details that I wish I had thought to take pics of!

Another character Ben was happy to see!

After looking in the shop there a bit we were off to the Grand Floridian for our ADR at 1900 Park Fare. Up next, would we have as great as an experience as our last time? And what's the second worse thing that could happen to a princess on here make over day?

Also wanted to add an apology for those of you whose reports I have been neglecting. As I have said it's been super, crazy busy around here lately and most of my internet time has been on my blackberry at practices or in bed at night. I am hoping to have tomorrow night off so I can get back on here and catch up on everything. It also doesn't help that I have been under the weather the past couple of days and without power so please forgive and I promise to be better!

Bummer that they didn't interact more, but the pictures are really nice!!!!

I love your pictures with Minnie and Mickey! I'm looking forward to seeing all of those cute details in the line!!! :goodvibes

Another bad thing on BBB day??? Oh no! Poor Emily. Was it a tumble? Hmmm or food on her dress?

Anyway, great update! I can't wait to meet Mickey in the new setting, it looks so beautiful!

Oh my gosh I didnt even think about cheating and sneaking a peek on youtube for the new HM ending...but so far I have been good and haven't checked it yet :rotfl:

I am so glad you guys made it out of Irene okay...we only lost power for 10 minutes, but I feel awful for the people at work who still don't have it back yet

I love Mickey and Minnie together, I will have to wait in that line for that picture!! I love Sam's expression like "hmm do I really want to talk to these princesses"

What awesome pictures...I sure hope I can drag my family to all the photo pass photographers. Maybe you will get to see a picture of me! :scared1:

Love the castle PP pics - you sure got your moneys worth from the CD! :thumbsup2

Yay on seeing the Princesses - a shame that Cinderella and Belle didn't interact as well as Aurora.

Count me as another one who is looking forward to seeing Mickey and Minnie's new M&G area!

Your Tinkerbell magic shots are great. My family doesn't "act" well. Yours did a great job of looking surprised!

I love the group picture with Mickey and Minnie. Very nice!

Yes it was a bit of a bummer, we've always had wonderful experiences with all of the princesses (with the exception of a cranky Aurora one year, lol)

You'll soon find out about Miss Emily, sadly what happened to her happens quite a bit, she's a bit clumsy:thumbsup2

I'm usually like that too, I llike for things to be a surprise, but I couldn't resist!

I'm glad Irene didn't hit you too hard and you didn't really lose power, I bet you felt that earthquake though huh?

I hope you get to see M&M, the wait really isn't bad at all, compared to what it used to be back in Toontown.

Wow, so many great characters all in one day!

I know right? We really lucked out this day. But believe it or not with all of the characters we got to see on thiss trip we saw so many more on our last one, we had incredible luck finding them!

What awesome pictures...I sure hope I can drag my family to all the photo pass photographers. Maybe you will get to see a picture of me! :scared1:

Thanks, definately make them stop for pictures because if your like me they will be the only pictures that get taken of you :rotfl:

Yes, I think I did get my moneys worth, lol!

Yes Cinderella and Belle were a little off their game but we got a chance to see them again so it's ok ;)

Hope you get to see M&M, I love the new location!

I love the group picture with Mickey and Minnie. Very nice!

We did get a few great magic shots but believe me there were a few ones that were major fails too!

Our latest movie theme day/night was Pinocchio!

Not alot of toys for this one so I went to the computer for help with some printouts for decor and wouldn't you know my printer is not working right  Thankfully my aunt helped me out and I was able to get some stuff printed at her house when I was there the other day :)

So we started the day off with the movie, even though we've seen this one fairly recently, it was still fun to watch! For movies snacks we had Monstro the whale crackers, Jiminy chocholate covered crickets and Pinocchio nose pretzel sticks! During the movie the kids did their usual coloring pages.

Between the movie and dinner the kids cut out some Pinocchio puppets which I tied string to and they did an activity page.

Dinner was what else, stromboli! This was a HUGE hit with the kids, they absolutely loved it, my oldest DS 16, raved about it so I took that as quite a compliment :cloud9: I also made angel hair pasta with sauce just in case the stromboli was a bomb, lol.

Our centerpiece, my Jim Shore figurine

Dessert was a very last minute decision, I was having a hard time coming up with something and the kids said they wanted cupcakes so I used what I had and made Figaro and Cleo in a fishbowl cupcakes.

After dinner we made a wish upon a star and the kids put on a puppet show!

What a great theme night!! You always have such great ideas :thumbsup2

What a beautiful Jim Shore figurine :goodvibes

Trying to catch up again. Love the BBB pictures. She is so beautiful. Madi would have loved to meet Rapunzel, but we couldn't find her.

Pinnochio movie night looks like a big hit!! They are always so great
.

:rotfl2:Okay you beat me to the punch...we are doing Pinocchio on Friday night and had planned to make Stromboli! Great minds think alike...now how am I going to set myself apart from your wonderful night! :worship:

I love Ben's wish....a math book! That melts this former math teacher's heart!

I love the picture of the kids in front of the movie title...;) Ab tells everyone that I am "documenting for my scrapbook" and then gives the teenage eye roll! :rotfl:
