Princesses don't hit, kick or spit! A May/June TR Update 10/17 Snow White Theme Night

I am so enjoying reading about your trip. I almost feel like I am with you. :rotfl: We will be at Disney in two weeks, so keep the stories coming, please. popcorn::

Thanks so much, I'm happy that you are enjoying it! Yay for 2 weeks for you!

I SO agree about the challenges of touring with a large group. We had 13 for a couple of days on our June trip last year - and I found out that DH's family was joining us ON THE DRIVE THERE! So, I am kind of reliving that stress through your TR.

I love the Mickey ears that your kids picked. Only my youngest has a set and his is from the Harmony Barber shop so the most basic.

Your pictures from the Land ride are great.

13 people is alot too, I'd love to see how you managed! Its so tough because we only see this family for weddings, funerals and when we go to WDW! It's nice to visit with them but I found us doing alot of standing around talking instead of doing what I really wanted to be doing. I had to have alot of patience this day!

Love the ears that the kids chose, so cute!! I am really interested in seeing how you guys managed with such a large group, I know that must have been so tough!

Thanks, I love the kids ears too! Managing 16 was not easy and lucky me was appointed as the leader by everyone. FUN:sad2:

Oh man, yeah, I'd probably get so frustrated trying to tour with 16 people! My husband and kids are hard enough to put up with. :rotfl2:

Love the ears!! :lovestrucbWe need to get ears next trip, my kids only wanted the sorcerer's hats!!

My kids wanted the sorcerer hats too but I could only imagine how hot those things would make your head in 90 degree weather!

Awesome trip report!! Fantastic pictures, looks like you guys had a blast!

Thanks, we did have a wonderful time and already can't wait to get back!

LOVE the Mickey Ears! I think we need to get some new ones next trip. My boys each have some from the Harmony Barber Shop...they say My First Haircut on the back...and the boys are now 11 and nearly 7! They were 1 when they got their first haircuts at MK!

That's on my wish list for the next trip! Though I have to say I was really tempted to get a pair of those patriotic ears myself this trip!

I wish that I had held out and gotten DD's hair cut there. The boys were older when they took their first trip (6, 5 and 4) but Emily was only 1 on her first trip!

Those patriotic ears were really cute, maybe they'll still have them on your next trip!

Where to eat? Where to eat? We had 16 people to please so of course the only logical place was Sunshine Seasons! By some miracle, DC was able to snag us some seats while we were on Living with the Land, obviously we were all not at one table but we had about 5 tables near each other. I sat down with the kids while DH went and got our lunches, once again no food pictures, sorry maybe next time I'll be more on the ball with this:rolleyes1 DH had the turkey sandwich, I had a reuben which was really good, Christian had the pork chop meal with mashed potatoes, Ben and Emily had mac and cheese and Sam had the chicken leg. Christian loved the pork chop, I don't make them too often at home so he was quite happy!

Before we left the Land I made my way back over to the little Soarin gift shop, I had one must buy for the trip, a Mickey garden gnome! I saw this on our last trip and loved it but forgot to go back over and buy it so I told DH he better not let me walk out of there without buying it this time! I made my purchase and asked them to send it back to Pop for me:)

Since I was leading the way, I asked if everyone minded going over to ride Nemo, they all agreed so off we went. Stopping first for the obligatory picture.

After the ride the watched the dolphin for a bit then headed out, I didn't want to push the kiddie things too much so I figured we come back the next day in Epcot and do the Bruce area and Turtle Talk. Note to self, never say you'll come back and do something because you usually don't :headache:

Next we made a stop into Club Cool, the cousins had never been in here so it was fun to trick them all into the Beverly, even my MIL who seems to forget every year how nasty it is, lol.

The kids wanted frozen cokes so we got them each one and then went over to Mission Space next. Only a few of us were riding this so the rest went in the exit area while Ben and Emily played and waited. I am one of the ones who sat out. I don't know what it is about this ride but I get so nauseous on it! I've riden it on every trip but finally said after the last time there would be no more return missions!

Next up was Test Track. I love this ride and was really looking forward to Ben taking his first ride on it this year. On our last trip he made it all of the way to us actually boarding the car and he freaked out. After watching lots of You Tube videos he said he was going to ride it this year but once we got there he changed his mind so he went off to the exit to wait with my MIL and her sis while the rest of us rode. This was Emily first time she was tall enough to ride and she just loved it ! Once again my fearless girl!

We left TT and decided to head over into the WS. As we were walking I noticed Duffy! I know not everyone is in love with this bear but my kids had seen him online and were excited to visit with him, but since we had all these people I didn't want to make them all stop so we passed him by, promising myself that we would come back to him on day 2 (remember this one). We also passed up the Fairies because I just knew we'd get back to them also:rolleyes1

Our first stop was Mexico, with all of these people my stress level was high and I was in dire need of a margarita :rotfl: While DH got in line to buy them the kids had fun trying on hats and being silly.

We got our margaritas (mine was mango, YUM) and everyone was ready to move on, Sam really wanted to ride the Three Caballeros ride but the rest of the group was ready to move on so Christian stayed back and they rode while we moved on to Norway. Bypassed another character Mexican Donald, you know what I was thinking, we'll be back to see him!

Walked through Norway, passed on Maelstrom and made our way to China. I don't think we did too much here, I have no pictures from either of these countries so I honestly have no idea what we did. Like I said in a previous post we did alot of standing around and talking!

Next was Germany, remember I said that I had to scurry and get a TS restaurant for all 16 of us? I was able to get 2 reservations for 8 at Biergarten, one at 5:00 and one at 5:15. I went over to check in and asked if there was any way that they could seat us near each other. The CM at the podium went to check and came back to tell us that if I could get all 16 of us at the podium she could get us sat in about 10 minutes. Of course everyone was spread out in Germany so I got DH's DC and told him to help track everyone down with me.

Would we find everyone in time? Would we all get to sit together?

OMG!! Just joining in and just finished reading the reveal...that was awesome!! :thumbsup2 Love, love, love your balloon in a box idea--I got excited and I'm not even going!!;)

You have a beautiful family and I can't wait to go back and read more!!:goodvibes

All caught up now!! Loving it so far!:thumbsup2

I can't remember all the comments I wanted to make, but one was: I love the magical pixie dust you had at HS when the CM brought you around to the exit so your DS could meet Woody--I love how he runs with open arms to him!:yay:

Also, your meets with Tiana/Naveen and Ariel/Eric were great. Eric was such a cutie on top of being so sweet when your DS "shipwrecked" his stroller!:cutie:

Sorry to hear the boys were sick the one night, hope there are no repeats of that!

I love your theme nights--your so creative!!

Looking forward to the updates...Have a wonderful July 4th!!:woohoo:

Going to sound crazy, but I am literally stressing out reading your last post at some points! I hope you got everyone together to be seated at Biergarten!!

I cannot do Mission Space either, it makes me sooo ill and I can do almost any ride

Love your Epcot pics! :thumbsup2

Wow at touring with 16 people! :scared1: You are one brave woman.

Hope you manage to get everyone together for your ressie :goodvibes

Sunshine Seasons sounds really good, this is one we have never tried but your review has me thinking we should sometime.

Hopefully you were able to make it back to some of the things you were hoping too, and hopefully everyone was able to be sat together at dinner.

Can't wait for more:goodvibes

Thanks, we had some great character interactions on this trip!

Thankfully the boys were fine for the rest of the trip, I don't know what was up with them that night!

Thanks about the theme nights, the kids are really into them, we're still trying to figure out our next night, all 3 of the little ones want something different!

Oh believe me, there were some moments where I was seriously stressing that day:rotfl:

Love your Epcot pics! :thumbsup2

Thanks, we did somehow manage with 16 people, although I don't think I could do it again!

Sunshine Seasons is a great place when looking for something everyone agrees to. When we eat in the WS I can't even get all 6 of my family to agree on one CS place so we end up all eating at different places.

I completely understand your stress level and the need for the margarita. I will NEVER go on a long vacation with lots of family. I've dealt with that my whole life and will not do it anymore. I hope the remainder of your day was fun.

Thankfully we only had that large group for one day! I definately could not have taken anymore :lmao:

I promise to be back tonight with the rest of our Epcot day. My goal was to update every other day as to not drag this report on, my favorite TRs to read are the ones that give me something new to read often so I want to do the same!

But in the meantime I want to introduce the newest member of our family!

007-11.jpg

This is Lincoln, he is our 9 week old German Shepherd. We adopted him after a long tedious process from a German Shepherd rescue organization. We just got him yesterday and even though neither DH or I got much sleep last night we are all very excited to have him.

The younger boys just started their summer academy yesterday and Christian has baseball most evenings so we are keeping busy. Thankfully we are getting away next week for a couple of days to visit with DH brother and his family. We were supposed to also take a few days at the beach but now with Lincoln we're going to move that to August, we don't want to leave him with a dog sitter just yet for more than a couple of days.

You also may notice that I have a new ticker! DH and I have been talking about our vacation plans for next year because of course I am still trying to push a family vacay to Disney but he wants to do the beach. But he also wants to take some days, just the two of us to go somewhere. He wants to do Vegas but Vegas really isn't my thing. I also pointed out that he's going with his friends in January so we should go somewhere different. So I convinced him to do Disney in October for the Food and Wine Festival for a few days! Not sure yet how we are going to swing this without the kids, maybe just not tell them where exactly we are going?:confused3 Regardless I'm thrilled, not sure where we are staying just yet, I'm thinking a monorail resort, DH loved the Poly when we went to Ohanas and I am pretty sure it wouldn't take much persuasion from me to get him to agree to it! :cheer2:

So like I said I'll be back tonight, I have to go this morning and restock the fridge and pantry, the kids are eating me out of house and home being out of school :rotfl:

Tourin with 16 people... Sorry but 1 mango marg would not have been enough for this commando girl...I would have needed the entire tequila shot flight yo myself and the marg (and I know what splitting a flight did to me last summer...3 cabelleros was amazing and while I know I went to Norway next I have no memory of it... Except for a great tingling feeling...:lmao:!!!

Love the sambro hat pictures... Note to self take a few ourselves!

cute puppy--enjoy! We got a puppy about a month ago and for the first couple of weeks, it felt like a full time job. He's settling in now though and we just love having him around!

Congrats on the upcoming trip! I'd love to go with just DH, but he's not up for that yet--I'll probably have to wait until the kids are in college!

Lincoln is ADORABLE :goodvibes

I love Disney in October...I think that is a great idea for a trip without the kids

Congrats on the new addition to your family. They are such good dogs.

I went for food and Wine festival alst year with my girls and we had the blast. It was nice to use all our snacks around the world. I would love to do it with DH alone some day... maybe when the girls are a bit older as I would hate to leave them home for a week with grandma. the guilty side of me can't do it. I was suppose to go away with my sister and 2 weeks later my sister and I decided that the girls were going too because Disney is not the same if they are not around

Congrats on the new puppy. It's funny because we just got a new one too and I was going to post it in my TR :goodvibes Just haven't gotten to it yet!
Yours sure is cute!!!

Yay for a new ticker too! Hope it works out!!! I would love to take a F&W trip with just my DH!!
