Princess Weekend 2023 (Feb 23-26, 2023)

I've run with my daughter as a minor and once we were put in different corrals even with the same expected finish time. She stuck to her higher corral and got in line at the first character where we met up, had our picture and finished the rest of the run together.

Race shirt was a Youth Small and fits well. The "I Did It" is an X-Small and is way too big.

I had my first race dream for Princess, which is early right now . I was doing the 5k and PR’d and decided to run it again. Not sure why.

Is there interest in a Hurricane Hannah's meetup during the Princess Weekend? Last year we did it on the Saturday of race weekend from 2:30-4:30pm.

Outside of HH, I'll be at all three races and plan to do a pre-race meetup for anyone who wants to attend.

I'm also down for all the meetups. I might not make HH though, as it'll depend on the kids at that point. They might not appreciate sitting at HH not being able to access the incredible pool right next door

DH started working on J's golden hammer and we've started thinking how to incorporate LED lights in there. My son has an old Link costume from Halloween a few years ago, so we'll be using this as a Felix toolbet/LED battery pack holder:

DH and I are in for a HH meetup, and a pre-half meetup. We’re looking forward to it. He isn’t running any of the races, but I’m doing the half and we have a friend doing the 10k (her first!).

Alright, I'll add the Hurricane Hannah's meetup at 2:30-4:30 on Saturday 2/25/23 to the OP. We can always change the date/time if things need to be shifted.

My favorite from a racing standpoint is the 2018 10k course.



I didn't like the 2022 Princess course as much:

That does give us double uphills in Mile 1-2 and 2-3. We now get the classic 2018 10k uphill at Mile 1-2, and the classic HM uphill towards the EPCOT finish. I don't think I've run behind Soarin' before (Mile 2-3), but it looks like some Wine and Dine races have before. So I'll have to watch some old race videos to get an idea what that is like. Most everything else is pretty standard 10k route just in reverse.

Agreed! It's why I'm glad they're back to a more "standard" 10k course.
