Princess sofia on wonder

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if princess sofia makes her appearance on the wonder at all? My daughter is in love with her...

She wasn't on our October cruise. My DD would've loved seeing her. I guess we'll just have to make a trip to the park.

Sadly, Sofia the First is enjoying her visits elsewhere and will not be visiting the Disney Wonder for a considerable while.

Maybe I am dreaming but I thought I read somewhere that Princess Sophia will start making appearances on the Fantasy...have not heard anything about the other ships.

We just got off the fantasy and Sofia was there one of the days. The on board app was super helpful for those types of things

She wasn't on our end of Oct. cruise on the Wonder. I personally would have enjoyed seeing her. I know I might be the odd one out but I could do with a little less Snow White, Ariel and Cinderella and more of Merida, Rapunzel and Sophia. Would love to see the Pixar crew on more than the Alaska sailings as well, since I can't convince DD7 that an Alaskan cruise would be fun.

For A LOT of reasons only certain characters can "visit" a certain ship! A lot of it has to do with the fact that character performers in the parks on any given day outnumber their counterparts on the ship about 6-1. Introducing a new character on board involves a very lengthy process, approvals from shoreside, and a restructuring of the casting.

For example, Pixar characters are only licensed from Pixar for a limited time and not indefinitely on DCL. With Merida being a Pixar princess, this makes it extra challenging.

For anyone who's familiar with the way character casting works, having Sofia or Jake on board would mean much less chances of seeing Mickey or Donald. When Tiana came to visit the ships, we saw Pluto less and less. For Rapunzel to visit, Snow White would have to return to her kingdom (Ex. She is no longer visiting the Disney Magic). Hopefully that's understandable, I'm trying to keep my Disney speak in check!
