Praying Peanut stays strong..you are so right, you and I are always fighting for our kiddos...we are two tough mommy's!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:goodvibes:hug::woohoo::hug::goodvibes

Luvin the pic of her with all the bows in and the one of her and Monkey looking at each other to cute. Great big gives. I hope Peanut stays well enough for the trip. It will be amazing for her :)

Just a quick note to let you know that your family is in my thoghts and prayers.

With all the Peanut's been through lately it reminds me of reading about a woman who had been having a long stretch of "unluck" as well. Finally she got to the point where she'd start each morning saying, "Please, God. choose someone else today."

I'm glad you are home! I am loving that bow picture!!!! What a little cutie!!! And, the picture of the two of them looking at each other is PRICELESS!!!!

I'm drawing a blank on who sent you the outfits though! I'll have to look and see :thumbsup2

We finally got home Yea she left the hospital at 1145pm she is still on iv antibotics and coumidan but thank goodness she is home

Another update on Peanut!!

Peanut sees part of her medical team weekly, and this morning she was admitted, and will be having surgery late late tonight, or tomorrow. :sad2::sad1: We found out that Peanut needs to have her port removed as the IV antibiotics just aren't working. The second IV med they wanted to get in from the US isn't in and even if it was, it would require a 14 day hospital stay (at minimum), and there are no guarantees it would work. The end result of needing to remove the port, could still be the same. The infection is still rampant, and the only way to fully get rid of it is to remove the source of infection, which for her is the port. This is worst case scenario as we wanted/needed to save it. She NEEDS to have constant access via a central line, and since she went septic last September so quickly from a PICC line, they would rather not go that route again unless under an emergency situation (especially since the life of a PICC line is only about 6 months, where a port can be 3-5 years). After the port is removed, she'll be on very strong antibiotics for 7 days I believe, and we will keep everything crossed that she will be feeling much better. In a couple of weeks when she has healed and hopefully regained some strength, she'll undergo another surgery (at another children's hospital, with her surgeon), to have a new port placed. They were able to find a surgeon at our hospital, willing to do the surgery for Peanut. Being a long weekend makes things a bit more difficult to organize. Surgery is tricky with her, because they have no way of knowing just how strong she, and how she will handle it. There is also a family history on my husbands side, of malignant hypothermia, so while they take precautions with the anesthetic, there are still risks. Then you add in her other medical issues, and it becomes a very stressful time. Any good thoughts you can spare for Peanut over the next 48 hours, would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like I am going to throw up. I just don't understand how one thing after another keeps happening to her. Its not fair, it just doesn't make any sense. Hasn't she been through enough already? :sad1:

GREAT news!!! :cheer2: Does she have a PICC line, since shes on home IV meds? How long does she need that for? I'm so happy she is home, and I hope her recovery now will be much smoother. They say kids do much better at home, so i'm hoping that goes for your daughter. :hug:

Kristy, Hoping you feel all the LOVE :love::love: and Prayers!!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Thank you, I DO!! Especially today, I need them. :hug:

Ohh Kristy this is not the update I wanted to see. I am sending so many prayers that once they get it out she will bounce right back. Huge bear hugs and prayers

I was really hoping I wouldn't read that you all had to go that route :( I hope everything goes perfectly from here on out. We had a friend while Elliot was hospitalized that ended up with a port infection and had his replaced. Once they got the infected one out, he recovered quickly. Hope to hear the same news from you soon. ::hugs::

Oh My gracious Kristy, I am truly sorry. This SHOULD clear things up, I am just sorry she will be without the port for a while.

Hugs!!! :hug::grouphug::hug:

Saying prayers for Peanut. Morgan is our daughter that works for disney. Yes she has a picc line for the ivs we spent another 2 hours at the hospital getting one of the lines to open up. She is only suppose to be on the iv meds for a week hopefully. We had come down to Florida to see her to work on the final details of the wedding and then on may 5th my middle daughter and her family are going to met us here so we can take the granbabies to disney before the wedding since June will be Morgans month. I now understand what you all go thru with sick babies my baby is 26 and I am so thankful we could be here with her since she has been so sick I would have gone nuts if I had been in Texas and they put her in ICU and we hadnt been here. Sending good vibes I just know peanut is going to do good yall have had your share of things just keep you head up God will not give you anymore than you can handle I promise you this i learned that a long time ago just put it all in his hands and he will take care of you.

Awwww, I'm so sorry to see this recent update. Sending lots and lots of prayers your way.
