Another update on Peanut!!
Peanut sees part of her medical team weekly, and this morning she was admitted, and will be having surgery late late tonight, or tomorrow.

We found out that Peanut needs to have her port removed as the IV antibiotics just aren't working. The second IV med they wanted to get in from the US isn't in and even if it was, it would require a 14 day hospital stay (at minimum), and there are no guarantees it would work. The end result of needing to remove the port, could still be the same. The infection is still rampant, and the only way to fully get rid of it is to remove the source of infection, which for her is the port. This is worst case scenario as we wanted/needed to save it. She NEEDS to have constant access via a central line, and since she went septic last September so quickly from a PICC line, they would rather not go that route again unless under an emergency situation (especially since the life of a PICC line is only about 6 months, where a port can be 3-5 years). After the port is removed, she'll be on very strong antibiotics for 7 days I believe, and we will keep everything crossed that she will be feeling much better. In a couple of weeks when she has healed and hopefully regained some strength, she'll undergo another surgery (at another children's hospital, with her surgeon), to have a new port placed. They were able to find a surgeon at our hospital, willing to do the surgery for Peanut. Being a long weekend makes things a bit more difficult to organize. Surgery is tricky with her, because they have no way of knowing just how strong she, and how she will handle it. There is also a family history on my husbands side, of malignant hypothermia, so while they take precautions with the anesthetic, there are still risks. Then you add in her other medical issues, and it becomes a very stressful time. Any good thoughts you can spare for Peanut over the next 48 hours, would be greatly appreciated.
I feel like I am going to throw up. I just don't understand how one thing after another keeps happening to her. Its not fair, it just doesn't make any sense. Hasn't she been through enough already?
I am glad peanut is home and I hope things continue to improve.
Love the pictures

Her mini stay at home was wonderful. Thanks, they are hams when I get the camera out. Sometimes its work to get pics, but general they are great about it.
Peanut looks so cute in her bows, that is amazing!!! LOVE those clothes, the dress and wall-e shirt are too cute and your children are simply PRECIOUS!!! Praying Peanut stays strong..you are so right, you and I are always fighting for our kiddos...we are two tough mommy's!!!

She was lovin' the bows, thats for sure.

I hope your kids are doing well, this is the first time i've been home today and i'm only home to pick up a few things. I'll try and check in on your PTR soon.
Luvin the pic of her with all the bows in and the one of her and Monkey looking at each other to cute. Great big gives. I hope Peanut stays well enough for the trip. It will be amazing for her
I actually got an even better one of them looking at eachother yesterday. You can just see how much they love eachother.
Just a quick note to let you know that your family is in my thoghts and prayers.
With all the Peanut's been through lately it reminds me of reading about a woman who had been having a long stretch of "unluck" as well. Finally she got to the point where she'd start each morning saying, "Please, God. choose someone else today."
Thank you, I will take all the thoughts and prayers we can get. We need them over the next 48 hours. I love the quote, LOVE IT!!
I'm glad you are home! I am loving that bow picture!!!! What a little cutie!!! And, the picture of the two of them looking at each other is PRICELESS!!!!
I'm drawing a blank on who sent you the outfits though! I'll have to look and see
If you figure out who sent them, please send them over so they can see my thanks.
We finally got home Yea she left the hospital at 1145pm she is still on iv antibotics and coumidan but thank goodness she is home
GREAT news!!!

Does she have a PICC line, since shes on home IV meds? How long does she need that for? I'm so happy she is home, and I hope her recovery now will be much smoother. They say kids do much better at home, so i'm hoping that goes for your daughter.
Kristy, Hoping you feel all the LOVE
and Prayers!!!!
