Thank God you are HOME!!!! Keeping you all inprayer that things clear up quickly!! Enjoy your bed tonight!!

Love all the pictures! The children are too cute!

I am happy to hear that Princess Peanut is finally home. I am sure it was a trying time for your family. Thank you for taking the time to post all the Big Give items. Surely you have more important things to tend to than to post the pictures! (Though I have to say I enjoyed seeing Peanut and Monkey in their Canadian outfits and in lots of other wonderful creations)

I hope your family will stay healthy in the upcoming weeks and all of you will have a wonderful trip.

Kristy!!! I'm so glad to hear that you are home!!! I hope you get to stay there!!!

And, the pictures!!!!!! I LOVE the pictures!!! Your kids are just TOOO adorable!!!! Thank you so much for posting these!!!

I am keeping everything crossed that we get good news tomorrow. I'm SO nervous. :sad2: Thank you, the kids love getting presents and their eyes just light up when they see a package. :goodvibes

So glad she is home hope everything comes out good. So glad the dress fit I was worried since she is so tiny. Hopefully we will get to met her when she is here we will be in Orlando till the 15th of May. She looked so pretty in everything

It fits great, and when she gets her port de-accessed, it will be even better. She just loved it, and didn't want to take it off. :cloud9: It would be great to try and meet up while we are there. :thumbsup2

Peanut and Monkey are just adorable!!! Im so glad you are finally home!! I'll pray you are able to rest before your trip and everyone stays healthy!!! have a wonderfully magical trip!!

Thank you, I hope the next two weeks are smooth without any more complications. :goodvibes Its SO nice being home.

I am so glad for you all that you are home, I hope things continue to go well and the cultures are negative so you can stay home

Thanks so much for posting all the big give pictures, I just love the crocheted hat, and all the clothes too.

So glad the thing outfits look like they fit. Your kids are just so adorable.

More pixie dust for continued healing!

Ugh, I can't hope enough that the cultures are negative tomorrow. Ack. We'll find out in the afternoon. All the clothes are awesome (and fit great), and I can't wait to see them sporting them at Disney. So soon! Eeeek! :yay:

so happy you are home. Love seeing the smiling faces.

ME TOO, on both accounts! ;)

Luvin the pics! I luv the minnie mouse dress and the hat they're fab!

Isn't the minnie dress awesome? Its just beautiful!!

So happy that Peanut is home!!!!! I so hope she improves -- I honestly think she is safer at home than in a germy hospital. So many infections orginate from just being in the hospital.

I love all the pics. I can't beleive you had the time to post all of them. You must be exhausted from all the stress and running around. I hope that all settles now that Peanut is at home.

I'm continuing to think nothing but good thoughts for all of you. The only thing that needs to be contagious in your house is Peanut's gorgeous smile :)

You know whats frustrating? Is that the reason she got her port infection, was likely from being accessed and having the TPN. Plus, every Friday they have to change the needle on it, so of course thats more germs in the air to possibly cause an infection. And look where that got us. Siiigh...I AM exhausted, just beyond tired and have so much to do and think about. Whatever we have to do to keep Peanut home, we'll do. So bring on the stress. lol! But thank you, i'll take all the good thoughts. And I agree, Peanut has the most beautiful smile, and it just melts my heart to see her so happy.

What great Big Gives!!!!! I love seeing their smiles! (Welcome home too!)

Thank you! Its so nice to be home! :yay:

so happy you are all home together :goodvibes will keep prayers and pixie dust coming for great news on upcoming cultures!

love all the Big Gives, the kids look so cute in all their outfits and looks like they have lots of fun stuff to help keep them occupied during the trip!

seeing their beautiful, happy, smiling faces brings so much joy to my heart!

enjoy being home

Haven't the kids just gotten some great stuff? Its amazing! And I was told today that there would be some stuff waiting at GKTW too. WOW! I can't believe we are just over 2 weeks away. :cool1: And thank you, i'll keep your pixie dust in my back pocket tomorrow when we head back to the hospital.

Glad that you are home and able to have some fun opening all the wonderful items! Hope that everybody stays well. Your kids look adorable in all the cute clothes and other items!

Its been amazing seeing them open up each and every gift. Its been a wonderful experience, and we can't wait to pay it forward after we get back. :thumbsup2

Adorable!!!!

Thank you. :upsidedow

Glad she's home and I hope the culture comes back neg.... The Gives are great!!!!!! Thank you for sharing!

As much as i'm happy to be home, Peanut is so happy which makes all the stress and worry of her IV meds all worth it. :lovestruc

I had to laugh, I meant to switch her dress around to get pics of each side and FORGOT. ACK! Can I blame it on lack of sleep? I hope we all remain healthy, lol. With my luck, i'll get sick just days before the trip. :rolleyes1

How wonderful that Peanut is home.

The photos you've been posting - how do you have time?? - are amazing. I never get tired of seeing Peanut's and Monkey's smiles. I just hope they don't wear out their smile muscles before they get to Disney World, because they're be smiling non-stop there.

Hope things have settled down a bit for you and that you're able to take care of yourself amidst the stress.

So glad you are home after so long in the hospital. Hope that the test comes back negative and all goes smoothly from here on out.

All those Big Give smiles....just :cloud9::love::lovestruc

Gorgeous outfits, jewelry, trinkets and pixie dust!

So happy Peanut is home! Praying for continued health so she can enjoy her WDW trip!

Thank you, I hope things turn around soon. 2 weeks to go!!

I don't have time, lol. Luckily, as I took the pics and was able to come home for short visits I uploaded and edited them so I wouldn't fall so behind I wouldn't be able to post them. Thats the only thing that saved me. lol! :yay: Things haven't really settled down, but i'll post about that after. I don't think my kids will ever not smile, I just love it.

Lots to update today! I haven't been on in a few days, its just been such a crazy busy week. Peanut was doing great, we had her appt on Wednesday and got great news. The most recent blood culture was NEGATIVE!!! :cool1: BUUUUT, that high was short lived, as that afternoon she started spiking fevers. For almost 2 days her temp sat anywhere in the 39's-mid 40's. Today the fevers haven't been as high, but her temp is still elevated. She was really out of it when spiking and just generally feeling awful. So we took her to the ER last night, where they a CBC and also did a blood culture from her port. We don't have the culture results as those take 48 hours, but the CBC showed an elevated white count which only means that something is going on, not specifically what is going on. We had a follow up today at the hospital again, and as we already knew, there is nothing they can do until the blood cultures come back because they would have no idea how to treat her now until they know what is going on. So we wait. We are doing Tylenol/Advil round the clock as instructed and just hoping that Peanut perks up soon. Shes on very strong IV antibiotics (for another 6 days still, ugh) from the first infection in her port, so the reality is that its unlikely she has a new infection, but its possible the first infection is rearing its ugly head again. Then again, as we know with our luck, anything is possible in terms of what (if anything) in brewing in her port. :confused3 We also met with Peanuts dietician today, shes down weight from discharge (she was down weight on Wednesday and even more today). :sad2: They said its likely that her fevers are the cause, as you burn so many calories when fighting an infection and spiking fevers, but crap.

We got another Big Give on Wednesday morning, which the kids loved. It was from Shannon DIS: WyomingMomof6. She sent Peanut a beautiful Beauty and the Beast top and skirt set (again, Peanut loves the twirl factor, lol), and a Pirate Mickey shirt and shorts for Monkey. They were so exicted. Thank you so much, Shannon. :goodvibes In the picture of Peanut alone, her hands are making a heart. She said since Belle and the Beast are in love, thats what a heart means. heehee!

And today, got our wish package from the Children's Wish Foundation, with everything we need for our trip. OMG, it feels ever more real right now. TWO weeks to go, which feels like no time. NOTHING has been done yet, and just thinking about what we have to do to get ready is crazy. Ack!! Peanut got Roary who is the CWF Mascot (a big stuffed lion), who she loves. We put a bow in Roary's mane to make her a girl, lol. Monkey got a bat beanie and other random toys, colouring stuff, etc. and a movie (Air Bud). We got our tickets, expense cheque, GKTW info and everything with regards to the car rental, supplies, stroller rental (they rented us a Bob Revolution stroller - SO excited), etc. We also got a camera, camera bag and memory card, coupons for free prints and a free photo book when we come home from Blacks (they are a photo company who are sponsors of the CWF). We all got our tees, buttons, special Wish stickers that we should be wearing to identify ourselves to the park workers (apparently the park workers know that they specific stickers means you are a wish family), luggage tags, a Walt Disney World Guide book, autograph books, a backpack which will be great for the parks, even a special folder for important paper work. Lots of great stuff, all of it a surprise as we had no idea we were getting anything other then the paper work/expense cheque, lol. The ONLY stress is the seating on the flights going to Orlando (coming home, all 4 of us are together). Apparently there weren't seats available so we could all sit together. Of course, not the end of the world we figured. We assumed it just meant that we were 2 and 2 - I would sit with one of the kids, hubby with the other. Nope. In fact, all 4 of us are in seperate seats, in seperate rows. Peanut is 3 rows ahead of me, Monkey 1 row behind me and hubby 5 rows behind him. Riiight, like i'm going to have my 3 & 4 year old ALONE. :rolleyes1 So I called our Wish co-ordinator who said they were already aware and that there was nothing they could do. She said when we do online check in the night before, something might open up so we can sit with the kids, and then to mention it when we check in. She said shes never heard of them not being able to accomodate a situation like this, especially when it comes to young children but still its a stress for me. She did say that if the airline said there was absolutely nothing they could do (essentially that the kids had to be alone), to call the emergency contact # for CWF and they will find alternative arrangements, so essentially not to get on the flight. But still, crazy. So hopefully it gets worked out smoothly at the airport, because I refuse to fly with my kids completely seperated from us.

So ya, its been a week. I'm beyond tired and I have the headache of the century tonight. :rolleyes1

Praying they figure out what the infection is so they can get her on the right meds ASAP.
Sit together on the plane vibes coming your way too
Cute outfits :lovestruc

sorry to hear Peanut is running fevers again...praying hard they can get whatever infection under control!

Love the new give! so cute....love the one they are holding hands, so sweet :lovestruc

don't stress about the plane seats, I can't see the airline not at least getting you each with one of the kids....especially for medical and safety reasons....if all else fails, plead your case that the kids will scream and raise holy heck if they aren't sitting with you...no one will want that to happen!

get some rest and hope the weekend will be peaceful :hug:

I'm so glad you got the package. I was starting to get nervous it wouldn't be there in time! Seeing the picture of Peanut making the heart just brought tears to my eyes! Love the pics of Monkey too! I hope they figure things out soon, I just can't imagine how helpless and frustrated you must feel. I am praying for your family every night!

Yay on the negative culture! Boo on the returning fever!!! And boo on the weight loss as well, but understandable given the circumstances. I jsut want Peanut in better health for her trip!

As far as airline seating I am certain someone will switch seats with you so you can be 2 and 2. I actually think it would be illegal to be apart from your child so the airline should take care of it for you. I would call the airline directly ahead of time to see how willing they are to accommodate you.

It's getting exciting though that things are so close now!

Love the outfits!! The kids look like they love them too :) Hope she is starting to feel better!

Southwest doesn't have assigned seating (just assigned groups)... one family of 4 boarded very late and there were only single seats left and the flight attended started asking if someone would please trade seats so that each parent could sit with one of the children. They found a couple people willing to move around to make that happen. I'm sure the same would be possible for you, just let it be known up front.

I hope things work out all around too. I find that the closer we get, the more overwhelmed i'm feeling.:rolleyes1 It feels like yesterday when we found out about the trip (in January) and back then it felt like the trip was forever away. And now, we are less then 2 weeks out. Crazy!!

I would hope the airline would be compassionate enough to know that a 3 & 4 year old cannot sit alone, let alone one with medical complications. I called the airline today, and they were less then helpful. :rolleyes1 In fact, the woman didn't even seem to care, nice.

I love how the kids are so close, and hold hands with eachother. They even doing when we are out and about, its SO cute.

When I called the airline today, the woman I spoke with - who was less then helpful :rolleyes1 told me there was nothing they could do. She didn't know if the airline would work with us or not. It was brutal, and actually now stresses me out more then I was before. Though one of the moms I know at Peanuts dance class, said its happened to her before and there were no issues. So I would hope its all smooth sailing and that someone is nice enough to switch seats so we can be 2 and 2. I don't care about the 4 of us being together, but there is NO way we will fly with the kids on their own. Beyond that, my kids would never sit without us. Rediculous. Thanks for your good thoughts, I hope Peanut starts to come around soon too. :upsidedow She has 5 more days (well 6 if you include today) left of her IV antibiotics, and is tolerating the meds well - thank goodness. We will have to wait and see what comes from the newest blood cultures - hopefully nothing.

Love the outfits!! The kids look like they love them too :) Hope she is starting to feel better!

We are flying with Delta, but its still reassuring to hear your story. Thank you. :goodvibes I really hope it can be done smoothly with no issues.

Cute outfits!!!! Soory about the cultures and stuff ughhh!

Thanks, the outfits are adorable. Pictures certainly don't do justice for any of the Big Gives we've received.

sorry to hear the airline employee was no help! why can't people be more supportive :headache:
when you get to the gate go right up to the clerk there, explain what has happend, I know they will be able to get you switched around....there will be a compassionate person flying that will change their seats for you....I am pretty sure that at their ages they can't fly without a parent anyways by them.

or call again and ask for a supervisor, there has to be something they can do for you!

I would hope so, ugh. Its seriously stressing me out. :rolleyes1 A mom I know from Peanuts dance class, said that something similar happened to her and that they had no problems getting the seats to be 2 and 2. I'm sure it will all work out, but I HATE going in to something unsure like this. I'm very much a planner, and this not being planned is hard. lol. On the way back, its great. We are all together - 4 across, so at least thats easy. So between the seat issues and the concerns about the medical carry ons, oiy. At least I got a TON of laundry done last night. All normal stuff, plus all their (and ours actually) spring/summer clothes. One less thing to worry about as the trip draws near.

How are YOU?! :goodvibes

Praying for all of your needs Kristy, what a rough time it has been for you all! I have to say, I LOVE all of the big give outfits, especially the Things, Minnie and BELLE!!! and the Pirates!!! My guys would love that, but Lisa would be SO incredibly thrilled with it all, especially that Belle skirt...she has always been her favorite Princess (although now Rapunzel is giving her a run for her affections). Praying for HEALTH so you can go on this trip unencumbered and for Pixie Dust at the airlines when you call tomorrow, God Bless you al!!! :grouphug:
