My brother and I are going to Disney in February. Can’t decided between Riverside, AKL or Gran Destino. We plan on having a resort day where we spend time at Disney Springs. I’m hesitant to stay at AKL due to the ongoing construction. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

I would suggest PO Riverside so you can take the boats to Disney Springs (if they're running).

If you want to be close to Disney Springs, I would go for Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-Riverside. You’ll have access to the water taxis that take you there, weather permitting.

All three are beautiful resorts but for a day at DS I would go with Riverside for the boats. Plus it's a beautiful resort to just walk around and enjoy FQ as well.

I would go with Gran Destino. I'm coming up on my third trip and Coronado and have really enjoyed that resort, especially now that my kids are adults. It really is a deluxe light resort. There's so many dining and lounge areas. If you are staying in the tower it's even better. We spent time at Barcelona lounge having coffee 2 mornings. Next trip I want to try it out at night for a drink. We did Toledo and Dahlia lounge one evening.

AKL is a great resort too. It’s gorgeous and great for a resort day. They also have great dining options. But if the construction makes you nervous I would go with Gran Destino.

Gran Destino. Indoor hallways & indoor AC units vs window AC at POR. Basically tower rooms feel like Deluxe rooms at an Mod+ price. Vs AKL it has a variety of F&B options and quick rideshares to parks & DS (rideshares pickup and drop off at GD Tower).
