Princess Makeover Question

Hello everyone. I have a quick question. One of my DW friend's daughters had a Princess Makeover done recently at WDW. I was wondering if they do these at DL as well and if so how much do they run? I believe they did her make up, hair and nails.

Not exactly.
Club Libby Lu in Downtown Disney does makeovers, including light pink nail polish, hair and "makeup" (which is a light light light pink). The cost for the basic package is 27.50. When I booked it last time, you had to pay for the lowest priced package when you book, but you could book any pkg. you wanted. We got the basic, and DD loved it.
In Princess Fantasy Faire, I understand that they do a hair braiding thing, but I've never done it with DD, so I'm not sure.

They also do something like that at the Princess Fantasy Faire. I think a full tilt deal was about $45. It seems like the same basic program except it is inside the park next the princesses.

My DD did Libby last year and loved. She still wears her rock star hair piece from time to time.

We've never done the make over at fantasy faire but my daughter has had a libby lu makeover twice at downtown disney. She absolutely loved it. The basic makeover includes, hair, nails, and makeup, 1 accessory(tiara, head mic, etc...), a pick of 5 items from select bins and soft backpack. Check out their website www.clublibbylu.com

What are the age limits at Libby Lu? How old do you have to be, and where is the cutoff point?

I just called them the other day and they said like at BBB they take all ages, they do kids, Mom's, and Grandma's so go for it!!!:goodvibes

So would they do 3 and 5 year old?? My girls think they are princesses and would love it!!

For older people do they still use light pink or do you get to choose a color?

How soon in advance can you book Club LibbyLu?

I am going to book a makeover for DD6 and possibly the ear piercing option too for a surprise. :cutie:

My daughter loved the Club Libby Lu makeover too! She got the princess makeover and the tiara is gorgeous...metal and rhinestones...no plastic. Absolutely beautiful!

I don't think adults would get a different color makeup. The makeup they put on is from a compact that the girls get to keep afterward...and it is (thankfully, in my opinion) very pastel colors.

I think we paid $25 and got...hair updo, tiara, makeup application, makeup compact, nail polish, sparkle glitter on hair and nails, rhinestone stick-on jewelry for around the eyes, a bookbag type of bag and a pick of five items from their "pick five" section (which has hair accessories, lip gloss, toys, key chains, etc.). Really a great deal!

I highly recommend it. We booked 2 weeks in advance with no problem.

The Faire also has face painting for both girls and boys. I don't know about Libby Lu's age policy, but the Faire doesn't have one as far as I know. The last time I was at DL I saw a girl who was about my age (late teens/early 20s) who had gotten her face painted (I had glanced at the book of options earlier in the day) wandering around New Orleans Square.

i'd like to hear more about the makeover in DTD. Just how much hairspray do they put in the hair? :rotfl: Because some of those makeovers I've seen walking out of the Princess Fantasy Faire it looks like they'd need 12 shampooings to get all that hair spray out!

This other place seems like a fun thing to do at about half the price.

I don't believe there are any age limits at the fantasy faire or libby lu. My brother in law (he's 35) got his face painted like a pirate while my niece and daughter got a crown painted on. Our local libby lu had a promo around mother's day for a mother and daughter makeover special.

Ohhh.....mother's day special. Might have to look into that since we will be there then.

This is a great thread, I have an appointment at Libby Lu in March, so I will let everyone know how that goes. I would love to hear more about the Princess Fantasy Fair for anyone who has done it, adult wise or children wise if you know a lot about it, I might have to check it out in March and it might be something to do at Christmas time. Can you make an appointment ahead of time for that??

As far as booking for Libby Lu, I just booked on Tuesday for March, they said they really have no set time so I would say the sooner the better, more so if you are going at a busy time.:goodvibes

Still not sure if Fantasy Faire does have an age limit or not, (thought it would be pretty messed up if they did) but I have to mention that an adult having their face painted doesn't necessarily mean they did it there. There's quite a few places that do face painting. Boardwalk on DCA is the first I can think of, and I'm straining my brain to think of more, cause I'm quite sure there are places....

I wouldn't think Fantasy Faire would have an age limit, I mean after all we are all in Disney and when you are there, everyone turns into a kid!!!:goodvibes

Would like to hear more about the makeovers at Fantasy Faire and maybe see some photos, that would be great.:goodvibes

We're WDW folks and we will be making our first trip to DLR this fall. Our daughter did BBB at WDW last year and loved it. She has been toying with the idea of getting her ears pierced and getting them done at DL would be memorable indeed! Does anyone have a link to the Libby place at DD or to the Princess boutique? Is the Princess Boutique in Fantasyland?
