Princess breakfast menu details

My friend and I are still planning on going. We hope it’s good. Kind of worried about how the whole experience is going to be. I’m hoping the bloggers going to the soft opening give good reviews.

I don't know. The photos of the food still aren't selling me on the price tag for this experience. Trying to keep an open mind and will wait for the reviews.

The food certainly looks better than the original post indicated, and I'm ok with that, but the price is just too high for me. Glad my princesses got to go when it was still affordable to take 3 little girls and pay for a family of 5.

I still don't get it either.

The food seems way too exotic for most kids. Like, how many kids are actually going to eat a "pulled beef" slider with a slice of pineapple (and tomato and onion too???) on it?

They even weirded up the fruit. A banana wrap?

I bet most kids will fill up on the desserts and a Mickey waffle...

The rest of the menu is just way too weird of a mix to eat at breakfast time.

I don’t understand why this isn’t delicious brunch food.

I am also surprised by the buffet aspect of a meal this pricey... but I wish those starter things were buffet style, because I would skip most of them. And I’m an adventurous eater... they just don’t look/sound tasty.

I am curious to see how long this lasts. I would 100% take my daughter to do this if the food looked good. We’ve got to be their target audience with a princess-obsessed kindergartener, and if this was cool enough, we could do it a couple of times a year for special occasions since we live close. But I’m not spending that kind of money for this food.

Me neither.

Look, I'm not a professional chef. But, even I can think of many ways they could turn these ingredients into something people would WANT to eat at breakfast.

Like:
Pulled beef over cheesy polenta
Short rib hash
Granola and Greek yogurt (NOT CHIA, for goodness sakes!) with fresh fruit parfait
Banana bread pudding with berry compote and warm vanilla custard sauce
Ham and cheese croissants (similar to the pinwheel they have at the Food & Wine festival with the warm cheddar sauce)
Lobster salad on toasted bagels
Roasted tomato and asparagus frittata
A variety of house made sausages (NOT Turkey sausage...who eats that?)
Roasted potatoes with root vegetables (carrots, red onion, squash)

And then also have the requisite scrambled eggs, omelet station, fruit, pastries, waffles, French toast/pancakes, desserts, charcuterie, etc.

The menu is definitely more breakfast/ brunch friendly than the original post. I can’t wait to hear how it goes and what special something there must be to justify the price point.

Agreed. we have a 7 year old who is on the tail end of princesses but would totally still do it and enjoy it, and we'd take her...if this didn't seem totally weird. I suppose at least at that price it's presumably an all you can eat buffet as opposed to the single piece of toast you got at Ariel's...

I will do this princess meal if my girls and I each get a Princess Dooney and Burke purse that is made just for this special meal. That would make the price of $125 per person worth it.

Agreed. I'm trying to stay open minded on this until the reviews come in, but for that price tag, I could do the Vintner's dinner (and enjoy it!) and meet the princesses for free (with a good experience) during the day at DL. And buy swag that I actually want.

I will do my best to give an honest review of it! I even asked my friend if she could take good pictures of the food for me lol. I'm terrible at food pics lol #badmillennial

Our oldest was never into princesses, so we never went to Ariels. Our younger daughter is into princesses, but I'm thinking breakfast with princesses will have to wait until we go to WDW.

This meal is having an identity crisis. It doesn't know if it is breakfast or dinner (just be brunch!) and it doesn't know if it is meant for kids or adults. Cuz the food and the price sound adult but then the souvenirs and the experiences seem geared towards the kids only. Are they (awkwardly and poorly) trying to make everyone happy and therefor missing the mark and making no one happy? As an adult with no kids that loves meeting characters/princesses (and a very understanding husband that is happy to tag along) I was all for the concept and willing to cope with the price tag...until I saw what they're actually offering. I don't think any of that food sounds/looks good. I thought it might be cuz I'm a picky vegetarian but all of ya'll and my meat eating husband are also scratching your heads over this menu, so it seems like a miss for everyone. Part of the price is clearly to cover the included souvenir which doesn't sound like something that will appeal to boys or adults in the group but we don't really know what that will be yet. At DW we have done the Enchanted Tales with Belle a couple times and the Bon Voyage Breakfast with Rapunzel, Flynn, Ariel & Eric (THAT is how you design a quality brunch kids and adults would like!) and it was great, they didn't make us feel weird or rushed at all as just 2 adults. I don't know why but the vibe I get from the info out on this event makes it feel like as 2 childfree adults we might get rushed through or weird looks or flat out skipped for things like story time or quality interaction time with the characters and I surely didn't consider shelling out the big bucks for that. I guess like everyone else we are just going to wait and see what the reviews look like once they start rolling out.

Despite the blog stating this is “booking up quickly” or something like that, I see plenty of availability even on the second weekend it is on offer. So many people may be hesitant to pay $500 for their family of 4 to have sliders at 8am. This menu sounds so strange to me. I would not want any of this at 8am. And I don’t normally eat dessert after breakfast (maybe I should start!), but I suspect most of the young kids will skip the Romanesco sauce and go for the desserts!

I was browsing instagram and I think today was the first media day for this character meal. If you have instagram, you can check the hashtag for "naparose", and see people posting about it, and check their stories for photos! The food looks much better than described lol.
