Princess breakfast menu details

You get to meet & interact w/8 princesses. Some are just for chatting & photos while others are for story time or other activities. The souvenir you get at the end is a Napa rose branded drawstring bag w/a crown necklace & princess chocolates. I didn’t go myself, just watched all of Healthymouse’s Instagram stories about it yesterday. She already put up a blog review: http://thehealthymouse.com/napa-rose-disney-princess-breakfast-adventures/

Yes I watched her story last night! I'm really excited for it now. Saturday can't come soon enough!

Srsly, between this now being the only princess meal at DLR and no replacement yet announced for Jedi Training, I am starting to wonder if I should skip DLR and do WDW instead, despite having SoCal ties and my DD never having been to California or DLR. (We did WDW two years ago.)
For any Canadians reading this post, I did the math, adding in 7.75% tax, a 20% tip , (which many aren't doing when they throw out cost numbers--that would be US$25 per person just for tip! Plus US$9.68 in tax.) and then the current (bad) exchange rate. I'm party of a family of six, but even if I went alone with DD, it would cost (US$319) CDN$431 for two. I could give the entire family another day at the park, hotel included, for that. Or give us all a half day of a pool cabana at DLH with a meal delivered to it (or a full day of cabana with no meal). I love the opportunity to do something really girly with my only daughter (I also have three sons) and meet princesses in a nice setting, but not at such a cost.
I'm grateful for the blog post above and any other Official Reviews, but I can't read it as being close to my experience when I know the writer did NOT have to pay for it. My expectations would be sky high.

I'm sure there will be reviews from people who did pay for it once it starts.

I haven't done this event but I have done the similarly premium-priced Princess Tea at the Grand Floridian in Florida and despite the fact that with the exchange rate it works out to 500 dollars for tea I did find the experience worth it for a one time very special thing.

Good to hear. But that was a choice of one princess meal option among a handful, some in the park, some open to any and all at outside restaurants, and with some choice in price points. I think my main objection is at DLR, it now appears that it's the only opportunity. The princess parts look great. But the food, gifts (is anyone impressed with the quality of the necklace?), hotel rather than park location, and price are all uninspiring.
I only get once chance to take my DD to a Disney Princess meal when she will be 5-6yo, that super sweet spot. This meal (and DD's mood on the day) would have to be so perfect for me to not be disappointed.
I hope everyone who goes loves it, and I look forward to hearing more.

That is a total ripoff but now that I have read the reviews and looked at the pictures I want to take my girls when we are there in April. Lol. I am such a sucker for whatever Disney offers. It is unfortunate that they don’t offer any other princess meals. That seems a little cost prohibitive for most people for most trips. We did the princess tea on our one Disney Cruise which was also quite pricey and it really was a lovely experience although I am not sure we would pay to do it again given how pricey it was but it would be fun to try this once.

I am actually excited for it to be outside a park. I was teetering on buying an additional 1 day ticket for our last day- our flight leaves SNA at 2. We will do this instead, fill our morning up, and fill our bellies up.

There is very little I prefer at DW, but the ability to buy a tickets that are very cheap too add days to is certainly better than having to pay out the nose for your 6th day.

Yes, because the Healthy Mouse says it's a 2.5 hour thing, I would not do it on a day when I also want to go to the park, losing some of DD's most active hours. I imagine other vacationers will use it like you are planning.

I completely agree that it's ridiculous that this is the only princess meal at Disneyland.

To be honest, if I were looking to take a child that was at the age of being princess obsessed I really would choosed WDW over Disneyland. I LOVE Disneyland but the magic of Disney World is better for that age group imo.

Found a couple more reviews. One site has the best, in that it seems the least biased by the whole "I want to keep getting offered free fun!" vibe that permeates so many bloggers' sites. (Those who read or watch make-up and hair-product reviews know what I mean.) I've also noticed that the breathless blogger types post pictures of the drink menu WITHOUT prices, whereas WDWNT has one with prices, so their review seems to come from more of a regular day rather than a special, free, invited event. These menus are for the specialty drinks not included in the $135-160 ($125 plus ~$10 tax, then depending on tip you leave, from 0-20%) price.
