Pricing dilema

Hey everyone. I need help and I hope this is the right forum.

I'm trying to go to Disney at the end of April and into May. My original plan was just a few days Tuesday to Friday and only go to MK.

Only going to MK would be hard to do. I want it all lol. I am on a very tight budget tho.

Right now Disney has the % off the room as well as buy four tickets get fifth day free. This is tempting but then I have two more room nights to buy.

Also AAA has a very vague discount that has something to do with cheap room, tickets, and something about a gift card.

Does anyone know anything about the AAA discount? Does anyone know which would be better to pick?

I can't get on Disneys website right now to do pricing because my computer crapped out and the mobile site sucks.

I just have this big dilemma. I don't know what to do. So on top of the AAA question. WWYD?

Risk savings saying you only live once and you can't take money with you when you die and say screw it and go from Tuesday to Sunday and get all parks in

Or

Be sensible and only go from Tuesday to Saturday and get two parks in???

The important question is about AAA but I'm open to opinions on my dilemma

Do those answers matter with the discounts ??cause I'm unsure on all of them except we will be flying. Okay so I'm looking at all star movies but again unsure. As for the people I know me and my son. Don't know if anyone else is going two might or might not.

But I just want information on the triple A discount really. The other question was just for opinions.

Each AAA district operates independently of the others. So the offer that my district has right now will probably not be the same as yours unless you happen to be in the Mid-Atlantic region.

My region is offering a free android tablet when you book a Disney vacation.

If you can afford it, I say go for the extra days and all the parks. You won't regret staying longer but you may regret having to leave sooner. And definitely call AAA. I got a $50 gc last year for booking my trip through them. We stayed at Pop Century.

Its not a bad idea to change your dates to Tue - Sat. Usually its cheaper to fly on Tue. or Wed.

Just looked on AAA and the Music is sold out for Tue - Sat. but Pop is available for $570 for room only. However Expedia has Movie room for $92.00 a night roughly $375 for Tue - Sat.

Wow thanks. Do you know if booking thru pop makes it difficult to get everything on mydisneyexperience. I have only ever bought directly thru Disney. I'm afraid to stray from what I know if that makes since. Especially with all the magic band and FP+ changes.

For this type of question, sometimes it is best to compare the numbers.

I would not get too wrapped in saving money due to ticket pricing. Disney's buy 4 days get a 5th day free sounds great but really it is only $10.65 savings. The price point from a 2 day to a 3 day is significant but going from a 3 day to a 4 day is $20 and dropping more each additional day.

It does sound tempting to stay longer but there are so many factors that can sway your budget. Going from 2 to 4 people will have big impact on the food and ticket budget. Maybe if you went with the idea that if just the two of you go - stay until Sunday. If it is the 4 of you then stay until Friday.

You do not have to go to a park everyday. You can stay and enjoy the resort for 2 days and then have 2 days at MK (with a rest day in between). On your rest days, you can swim, go to DTD, and maybe the Poly or Fort Wilderness one evening to see the Electrical Water Pageant and fireworks from the beach. Watch a movie by the pool at your resort. There really is a lot to do then just the parks.

Basically - make a budget sheet and price out transportation, food, lodging and tickets. Compare AAA with Disney. Compare the pricing of 2 people to 4 people. Call AAA and get a quote to truly know your pricing.

What about park hopping? We love park hopping and have often visited more than 2 parks in a day using EMH and early mornings and late nights.

I don't see you mention park hopping. If we had a short 4 or 5 day trip, we would definitely park hop and hit "must do" highlights and favorites and visit all the parks.

Depending on the number in your party, it can be cheaper than another hotel night and can factor into flight costs.

The free fifth day park ticket for 2 adults and 2 kids is only worth about $40. Not a big savings in my opinion. I'm using the free 5th day as a half day on my arrival or departure day (haven't decided) and it won't cost me any additional money.

All of our vacations have been budget vacations. We've always stayed offsite, rented the cheapest car possible, and been as frugal as possible. You could probably stay longer if you stayed offsite and got a good deal on a car. The flight will be the same whether you stay 1 night or several (depending on the airline deals, of course). Just something to consider.
