Prices for 2009 booking from UK

Does anyone know why the official website shows the 'value' season rates for the hotels in 2009 as DOUBLE the prices for 2008? For example the Poly with MK view is £150 (ish) per night in 2008 and £302 for 2009!!!!
Do these prices come down as the time gets closer - and what is the cost if you're booking from the US?

I would assume that the £302 is an error. The rates for 2009 have not yet been announced but they should not be much higher than those for 2008.

Discounts do come up -- keep watching these boards or the mousesavers website to keep current.

What are the exact dates you are looking at on the UK site?

I looked at one night in what would be this year's Value Season for the Polynesian and for Theme Park View for the night of 28th Sept ( a weekday), the rate is £290. Even Garden View is £200.00 - which date was showing £150?

(The Value Season rates for the Polynesian with Theme Park View in USD for 2008 Value season are $470 which converts to £234.52. approx & then you need to add tax.)

- 44disney, the rates for 2009 are up on the UK site as we book much further in advance, and indeed it is Magic Kingdom View : £302.00 for the Polynesian (I looked at the same date - only for 2009 - as on my previous post 28th- 29th Sept).

WDWfan, I just looked at the page that gives the rate per night generally - not for specific dates. Maybe the rate will come down when the US rates are released?
