If I choose to bid on a property that is classified as Universal resort, am I guaranteed only to get a resort hotel in the universal area, or am I guaranteed a resort on Universal property? If there is no way of being sure to get one of the 3 onsite properties I will book in another way, as I want FOTL access for the last 2 days of our stay. Any information would be appreciated.

I don't think the onsite Universal resorts participate on Priceline. You can go to www.bidfortravel.com click on the Florida/Orlando thread and the first thread will list the hotels under each category. There is only one Resort for Universal listed and it's none of the ones on property.

Well the zone is called Universal Studios - Sea World and if you click on the area details you'll see from the map how large the zone is. AFAIK (BFT) the 3 Universal Hotels don't even particiapte with PL.

You can use Hotwire, from the amenities you can be very sure of what hotel you're getting BUT I'm not sure that Hotwire is not much cheaper than booking direct with an Entertainment rate.
