Pretty bummed right now...

We planned our upcoming trip last year and not only are we missing the 24 hour MK Event by 5 days, but now SDMT won't be up and running until May 28th??!
Any chance we may get a sprinkling of Pixie Dust and get a chance to ride SDMT one day as a "soft opening"?
Don't get me wrong..we are blessed to even be fortunate enough to go to Disney, but I still can't help but be bummed that SDMT opens so late!

We rode Under the Sea during a soft opening back in the end of October 2012 and I don't think that officially opened until about a month later. We would just sort of walk around the area in the mornings and ask random workers if it was open yet, etc. Good luck!
