We are slowly counting down the days to our 2009 Disney trip. We are flying out the night of May 6. All 5 kids (a two year old and four nine year olds plus MIL and FIL in tow). That night we will be staying at the orlando airport hotel (anyone out there ever done this?) Then, the next morning we head out on our three night cruise on the Wonder. On the ship I have facials planned for my MIL and myself to celebrate and early mother's day. We have connecting Cat 4 rooms. On sunday, when we get off the cruise and check in at the WL - we will be headed to the parks. We have booked a VIP Tour for that day and I am looking forward to a wonderful mother's day! Topped off with dinner at Le Cellier (sp?) and Epcot fireworks the first part of the trip promises to be a blast.

Ok, so here is the second installment. It has taken me a little while, but I have been busy getting ready for our upcoming trip.

I thought I would introduce you a little to our family. Our last trip to WDW was this past September. It was a very last second idea. We stayed at the YC and loved it! The first night we arrived, it was late - too late to do any parks. However, the kids still had not eaten dinner. In order to get in the "spirit of the trip" we decided to do something we had never done before, but had seen on an episode of Jon and Kate plus 8 (One of our favorite shows) that was - ICE CREAM FOR DINNER!!! The kids thought it was an excellent idea! Since we were staying at the YC, we opted for the Kitchen Sink. As you can see from the picture below, this is a huge sink filled with lots of ice cream and every topping they have. It also has a "whole can of whip cream" which they yell when you order it! That had to be one of the most enjoyable dinners we have ever had - even with the 7 of us, we couldn't eat it all!

Ok, I am trying to insert a photo here with no luck from photo bucket - any ideas?

Ok, ok, I finally figured this out - above is the kitchen sink picture with our whole family. Four (soon to be) 9 year old kids and one 2 year old!

Now that I have figured out how to post, I will give you a few more introductions to the family -

Here is one from our trip this fall - on the left is Kit, then Daddy, Abby, Grace [then Ariel] Lexi, Sophie Kate and Mommy.

So, as far as the upcoming trip...we start on the cruise - three days with connecting Cat 4 rooms. We are keeping a pretty low profile while we are on the cruise so we can save money and energy for our marathon trip. Once we disembark from the cruise, on May 10 (mother's day) we will be spending one day at the parks with my MIL and FIL. That is one of the days we are going to book a VIP Tour. We have done this once before and enjoyed it very much. Below is a picture of us and the guide we had this fall whom we loved! Maureen.
