Are spray cans (hairspray, sunscreen, etc.) allowed in checked luggage? I am fairly certain they aren't allowed in carry-ons. I looked back on the thread about 7 pages and didnt see an answer. We are flying NWA/Delta.

Thanks!

Well, not ALL sprays are allowed in checked luggage. In general, those that are considered personal care products--like hairspray and sunscreen--are allowed, but "household products"--like disinfectants or starch--are not allowed.

Per the TSA site, spray cans for personal care are allowed in your carry-on in limited quantities and in your checked baggage. That would include sunscreen and hairspray.

Any other products other than for personal care are not allowed in checked or carry-on, if they are aerosol.
