pressed pennies????

What do you do with pressed pennies? I have one from disneyland and i just found it today....but dont know what to do with it!! If there is something interesting you can do with them i might get some more at wdw...any advise?

There are books that you can put them into. My dd has a bunch just sitting in a pile. I think that when I go to WDW next month, I'll buy her the book and get a few more pennies for her collection. I have some nice new shiny pennies all ready to go.

I have 2 books of pressed pennies I have collected around the parks.
one quick tip before you go, get one of the m&m mini's tubes. After I enjoy the contents I stack 2 quarters & one penny in the tubes ,so when I see my pressing machines I am all ready & not digging for change.

I got ones for all the countries in World Showcase and am using them on my scrapbook pages for each country.

Filling M&M tubes is a really good tip. I also put the tube in a ziplock just in case the tube opened in the backpack, which it did a couple of times.Two tubes just about fills one book.

We do the pressed pennies and keep them in a book. My kids have taken them for show and tell at school. The kids there love to pick out their favorites!

I bought an inexpensive "roll" of magnetic tape and made refrigerator magnets out of a few favorites. I've also heard of charm bracelets and necklaces made out of special ones. I also give the penny albums to first timers who have traveled with us and they really get into finding different penny and quarter machines in the parks and resorts. The mini M&M tubes are one of the best tips I've gotten from these boards.

Yeah, I stop anywhere I can and get a penny pressed. Got to remember to always have a few shiney pennies wih you in DW! I bought a book in my resort gift shop and just fill that up with all my pennies.

Good ideas my husband loves to press pennies....it is the only time he is happy throwing his money away I think it is pretty silly to pay money to have your money wrecked but if he likes it

The books hold 36 pennies and has place for 6 pressed quarters! Yup! Pressed quarters...

A few other ideas for the pressed coins might be to use them in your scrapbooks. Or as my sister did, you can put them around your pictures when framing them...

We went the last week of September and one of the disney outlet stores had them for 2.99. I bought several there instead of in the park (twice as much). I think it was last year's 'edition'. They had a new cover on the ones at the park.
