I mean, I have a feeling I know, but it's hard to believe people still get tweaky when companies try to help those who don't have English down perfectly yet. So I refuse to believe that that is what is bugging you!
Nothing grinds my gears like a thick accent on the phone when I am trying to figure out what is wrong with my account!!!!! I am already NOT HAPPY and then I get someone on the line who's English is weak and that makes me more NOT HAPPY!!! OP, I agree!
I can't speak for the OP, but the one I stick in the air everytime I can't understand the person on the other end of the line AFTER I've pressed 1 does.
I don't mind pressing 1 at all. I'm all about good customer service. The problem I have is after you press "1" and you can't understand the other person on the phone because their English is weak. I once asked where they were and they said India. I don't care but please...don't have 1 for English and then have someone that doesn't speak English very well. I'm not knocking Indian people so please don't take it that way.
Once in a blue moon, I get an earful from some random crazy, who wants me to know that they're upset because our automated phone system asks them to press 1 for English. Seriously? All the problems in this world and that's what you choose to spend your time getting upset about? And you want to complain at me about it?
