Presidential Election

Who do you think will win this years presidential election?

  • McCain

  • Obama

Results are only viewable after voting.
Honestly Obama kinda scares me. But I chose McCain, only because I love Palen. I would loooove to see her in the White House. She's great, in every way. :cutie:

What? What? What?

PLEASE enlighten me as to how this psychopath is great? Tell me what she would help our country do? Why does she have ANY purpose in the white house? Please explain this to me.

Seriously. Anyone who votes in favor of her has obviously never heard her speak. I'm not in favor of her, or anyone for that matter, telling me what I can and cannot do when it comes to abortion. It's my body and my choice.

Also, she doesn't get to CHOOSE what animal is or isn't endangered; nobody gets to chose. It's based on how many are in existence in the wild, and her shooting polar bears isn't going to bring density to their species.

/sigh

You're one of those people who make the rest of the world hate us.

/facepalm.

I too would like to know how Palin is 'great in every way'. I've read the news online and I've seen her interviews and debates and she does not seem like she would be the kind of leader the US needs right now.

I saw her (and McCain) in person last Wednesday and I do think she is qualified. Do I think she was the best choice? No. But I do think she is qualified. She is a smart lady and the media has been unfair to her.

Come on guys. Really? Has anyone heard of Healthy Families? Were you can go to the GP, optometrist, dentist, etc for little over 20 bucks a month MAX? There is NO excuse for a child not to have health care even without socialized health care because of how cheap it is. Also the people Obama is planning on heavily taxing (people who make 250k or more a year) usually send their children to private school. Most, if not all, children in private school have some sort of health care. Also, it doesn't matter if every child in the world has healthcare, colds and flues will spread through schools, seeing as colds and flues can't be treated by antibiotics. Their symptoms can be lessened by medications, but that cold or flu is gonna stay with that person until their immune system fights it.

Obama is giving tax reliefs to 95% of the nation so no...the people he's planning on heavily taxing won't benefit from what the taxes are going to be used for. I'm not a convict nor do I know a convict (he's using taxes to pay for substance abuse and mental counseling for convicts). I don't live in an inner-city, nor do I know anyone who does. I'm not arguing against some of the things Obama is standing up for, but you have to look at it from the other perspective.

I wasn't stating it was ok using campaign funds to pay for a wardrobe, I'm saying that 150k isn't a lot for someone in the media to spend on clothes in general.

800,000 bucks here will get you a very modest 3 bed, 2 bath house and a fourth of an acre. An average listing price here is 2.5 mil.

That's a pretty generalized statement.

She may be smart but she is unscrupulous.

Charles Gibson: Do you agree with the Bush Doctrine
-long awkward silence-
Palin: In what respect, Charlie?
Gibson: Uh....well what do you interpret it to be?
Palin: ....his world view...?

Seriously. She doesn't even know what that is. She shouldn't be anywhere close to running my country.

That interview was heavily edited and is why I said the media has been completely unfair to her.

It was. Charles Gibson got that interivew and wanted to be the first person to knock Palin down. It was disghusting.

I normally really like Charles Gibson. I don't blame him fully though, I think it was the editors who mainly edited it.

I didn't think he'd gotten his own channel. I just read that he bought 30 minutes of air time from various networks.

No, he does have his own channel. I heard about that a few weeks before the 30 minute ad was announced.
