Pres Week Fares

What were some of the fares you got last year on SW or Jet Blue for Pres Week last year? We are considering going this year - and just wondering what fares might look like? We have a credit to use up on Jet Blue - but I dont want to pay alot out of pocket beyond the $1000 credit (4 people).

I travelled on a SW RR ticket, but I got a flight for my friend for $312. That was cheaper than the year before, when it was $365!

I went Sat to Sat this past Pres Week and the flight cost $450 from MHT to MCO. I used freq flyer points from my credit card so it didn't bother me too much but the fares were gone within hours.

This isn't for SW or Jet Blue, but I got PWM-MCO for $256 after taxes 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for the responses. Just trying to get an idea how inflated fares might be that week. I think I am going crazy waiting for Jet Blue to release their fares. I even dreamed of them last night -and was almost convinced they would open up February in the middle of the night!

Right now I am double booked for our trip in September on Jet Blue and SW. We originally booked with Jet Blue for $119/one way but then SW put the $69/one way fare. So not sure which one to cancel - waiting to see what I can rebook in February.

We went last year but the week after President's week and got $128 RT on Delta. Of course they were possibly going through bankrupcty and it was a little worrisome for a while but it all worked out. This year we are looking at the same week and I can't find anything from MHT for less than $300, mostly around $369, and this is for the week after! I am holding out hope for Southwest but I am worried that they will release their Feb dates unbeknownst to me and they will sell out in like 12 minutes. I am hoping the DIS will be my best resource as far as when the dates are released for SW for Feb but I will probably be checking SW website somewhat obsessively too. I usually already have my tickets by now but I really can't spend $300+ per person. I know the days of $128 fares are probably over but I really would like to stay around $200-225. Good luck in your search. I hope you find a decent fare and stay tuned to the DIS. That is how I got the great deal last year.

I just got mine yesterday. I got non-stops from LGA/NY to Tampa, Delta on the way down, American on the way how. Got my dates too, 2/16 down (Friday evening) and 2/25 (Sunday) back. I lucked out and found them on Orbitz yesterday for $225 each, tax and fees included. My wife is a teacher and with the kid's vacation schedule I'm married to that week. That's why I have to purchase my tickets 7 months out. But I got them!!!
