Preparing a cleaning schedule...

I am trying to understand how the cleaning schedule for a 10 night at DVC will be like. I should get a full clean and a T&T service included. According to the website, the full cleaning will be on day four and the T&T on day eight. I check in on Sunday (day 1), so the full clean will be on Wednesday (day 4) and the T&T on the next Sunday (day 8). Can I rearrange these if I want to add a few services to the list?

I am considering a T&T on Tues. (day 3), a full clean on Thurs. (day 5, company arrives), and another T&T on Sunday (Day 8). I'm not sure if I will need more cleaning than that.

Plan B would be the same for day 3 and day 5, but put a T&T on for Saturday (day 7) and then a full clean for Monday (day 9).

Am I stressing too much about this? I don't want to be too redundant with the cleaning schedule, such as putting them back to back or the day before check out.

Any suggestions?

With an 8 day stay, they put my full cleaning on the 4th day.
This means that I will use the shower 3 times before this cleaning.

However, they put my trash and towel service on the 7th day, meaning I will have to use the shower towel 4 times before it is changed, only using the last towel 1 day before I leave.

It would make more sense to put the TT service on day 6 giving me a towel use of 3, 3 and 2 rather then 3, 4 and 1.

I think that I can change the schedule, as long as the net total of cleaning days is the same.

Since I have a full cleaning scheduled for Christmas, maybe that is a good morning to make a nice breakfast.

From what I understand, you can ask to have the schedule rearranged.

If your company is coming in on Thursday, you may want to consider having the full cleaning done the day before...as sometimes they don't get to your room til close to 5pm. Just a thought! :)
 
That's a good point, KWeaver, however my friends don't arrive until late that night, like 10 or 11 at night. I hope they get to my room by then! This way the place will be fresh for them. I am think that two T&T visits and two full cleans should be sufficient. I'll play around with the schedule a bit.

We rearranged the cleaning schedule once for a 10 day stay. I think mousekeeping messed it up and somehow we lost a T&T day in there.

Since then, we haven't messed with the schedule. And haven't found that our place gets all that messed up anyway. I have been known to pull that vacuum cleaner out of the closet for a 5 minute cleanup around the table and sofa though!

I agree with you, Granny. Even with our 12 in a GV last month, we had no trouble keeping things looking spiffy, and we kept the trash carried down to the bin. We had LOTS of it with that many folks!:teeth: I really like the set schedule for a ten night stay. It is just right for us. The only thing you might want to prearrange, is if you are changing guests in the middle, you might want your full clean day when your first guests leave, so the bedroom will be fresh for them. I guess I am assuming you have a 2 bedroom.
 
I guess I am stressing, don't we all? ::yes::

I do have a two bedroom and there will be four people to start, then two more arrive and they will be on the couch. Then four people leave and it's just the two of us... in a one bedroom. We couldn't give up the kitchen and living room! (or the tub for that matter)
