Premium site worth it?

Is it worth the extra money for Premium or Preferred sites?

We have a 30ft camper with no slides. Are full hookup sites large enough or is there a possibility of not being wide enough to open the awning?

Are full hookup sites more difficult to back into?

IMO a 30' will fit into a Full easily (the oddball site is the exception). But remember the Fulls are off to the side of the Fort and are quiet, not centrally located. Some foks get Premium or Preferred loops because of loop location.

But to answer your question you should have no trouble setting up in a Full site.

PS-Save your money  1600 Loop is the closest Full to the main pool/campfire area.

The premium is worth it to us because less sand dragged in to the camper, and we had two times were could fit into a Preferred and full, I guess we were the exceptions. We have used the fulls before without no problem, we have a 30ft 5th wheel. The time we could not fit into a Preferred it took about three hours to find us another site. We have used the Preminum 3 times since they upgraded and no problems..

As Ed noted. Location, location, location...

I like the Preferred loop[s because they are close to the Settlement and the boat dock. I don't have a pet so I request 100 or 200. Both are walking distance to the dock. No bus.

I have a 31 ft 5th wheel with slides and I have never had a problem fitting with my awning out.

We have a 26' travel trailer and have stayed in both full and premium... Fit into both with loads of room to spare... Only difference is if you like the sand or not... With two kids, I'm used to crap on the trailer floor... lol... so I'm okay with it... hehehe
Location is a factor too, but if you like to walk, or have a golf cart or take the internal bussing... You'll be good whereever you are.... ;)

Thanks everyone! I don't think I'm too worried about loop location. I think it would be nice to be near the boat dock but we usually drive to the parks anyway so it's no biggie if we aren't.

We love the cable tv in the Premium sites as well as the space. Can't go without the classic Disney cartoons and what to do at WDW hehe.

well worth the extra$$ Premium sites concrete pad is so much larger.

This last Oct to Dec we stayed in a Premium site because of a mix up with the ressies and it was the first time I was able to back into a site on the first try w/o any jockying.

BTW I don't think there is any difference in the cable between the FHU, Preferred, and Premium sites.

Only big downside is those tables on the Premium sites must weigh 500lbs and are a BEAR to move around.

Oh, I had totally forgotten that full hook ups have cable too. At one time I seem to remember that only preferred sites had cable? This was before there were premium sites. But then again maybe I'm wrong about that, too. :confused3

Our 35' coach with 3 slide fits fine in the premium. IMO the extra is like a 1 bed room over a studio at the resorts.
