My kids are 3,6 and 9. We have never done the water parks and I am going to buy the annual passes tomorrow. In anyones opinion, are the water parks worth the extra money? Theres a rather large difference with the water parks added onto the pass.

The kids are just excited with the thought of us even entertaining the idea! LOL Is there much for my 3 year old at the parks?

Thanks everyone!!!pirate: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo  :hyper:

Short answer: No
You get an AP discount at the water parks anyway, and unless you go to the water parks a lot (and I mean a lot), you are best off just getting individual addmission when you choose to go there. Do the math and see if it pays off given your intended usage.

DisneyQuest would be the best reason to go PAP!

We always get PAPs but we average about 3-4 times at the waterparks, 2 or 3 times at PI and 4 or 5 times at DQ per trip. We also do 3-4 trips per year. For us it is worth it.

In my opinion, the premium AP is a waste of $$-

We spend most of our time at the 4 major parks- if we choose to go to a water park we will just pay the admission- still comes out less than premium APs

We always get PAPs. We hit the water parks several times each trip, plus we try to get to DQ once or twice each trip. Works for us.

I usually get an AP and a PI AP. Since I am going down for 14 days this trip, I am going to go to a water park for the first time. I did the math to compare buying the three components separately (with the discount on the water park) to the PAP. I figured that I would have to go to a water park three times for it to be even. I considered it because I am planning on going once this trip, and then I'll have two more trips within the year, but I really wasn't sure I'd get to the water parks 3 times. What if I have bad weather on a trip? So I'm going with the two APs and the separate water park admission. Since I doubt you're kids will get much use out of PI, I would think it would be even less worth it for you. I think the exception would be if you'll use DQ a lot. If you will, then it will probably be worth it.

You also asked about whether there was much for your 3 yr old at the parks. We are taking our 3 yr old for her second trip in Sept (first one was when she just turned 2). The main thing to remember at this age is that what's important is not the rides and stuff "to do" but mostly the whole character/fantasy experience. My DD would much rather wait in line for every character she sees than ride most of the rides. She does have a few favorite rides, though, and they are Pooh, Buzz Lightyear, Small World (she's going to be SO sad it's closed when we go!) and flying rides like Dumbo and Magic Carpets (also to be closed - Grr!!) It helps if your child is familiar with many of the Disney movies, so if you have time to introduce them before you go I'd strongly recommend it.

Have fun!!!

I think its absolutely worth it! With the heat down here in FL, I can not imagine a summer day at Disney without going to the water parks. My DH and I spend the day at the water park and the night at the theme parks. That combo makes summer my favorite time of year at Disney and it completely makes out PAP worth every penny!

You've got a lot of ground to cover with the 4 parks and kids enjoy the pool so well you often don't really need to hit a waterpark. I'd say do the parks this year ALOT and then next year buy a pass to the BB/TL + DQ next year ($137). You could always mix in a trip to SW or Gatorland that year.

Is that with the PAP, you can come and go as you like. You could make several mini-trips to the water parks for an hour or 2 if you liked.
