Can already Disney Brides and Future Brides to be list some examples of the food they had for their wedding.
My fiance and I are very average ppl and are very picky with food so we like basic and just want to get some ideas.
We are having Brunch/Lunch.
All help is greatly appreciated!

Hi,

For our pre-reception starting at 10 a.m., we used the first few items from the Tinker Bell Buffet menu from DFTW.

Array of Fruits, Berries, and Honey Yogurt
Smoked Salmon served w/ red Onion, Eggs, Capers, Cream Cheese, Caviar, Dill & Bagel Chips
Assorted Pastry Display
Assorted Juices, Coffee & Teas

HTH!

We had the Cape May Lighthouse Buffet, so we just had them serve the fruit, pastries, and bagels from the menu as our pre-reception food instead of ordering a separate pre-reception menu.

It's a great way to cut costs, and there's no way anyone could have eaten all that stuff at the same time as the eggs, bacon, sausage, Mickey Waffles, & hash browns. :)

I had a fresh fruit selection for the pre-reception and then served a traditional afternoon tea.

It consisted of:

Tomato Soup (best soup EVER!)
A salad (medley of greens, herbs, and flower petals with raspberry vinaigrette)

then my tiered plates were served with three layers
1st - finger sandwiches
2nd - warm scones with whipped butter and preserves
3rd - fresh strawberries, fruit tartlets, and poppyseed cake

Then dessert was English trifle served in white chocolate roses. (this was a surprise from the chef, I expected them to be served in martini glasses)

We're doing exactly this minus the salmon (we substituted something else on the buffet later for the salmon). So just the fruit, pastries, juice, and coffee. Our pre-reception starts at 11:30am.
