Who is playing at Epcot now at the American Experience Theater? Who will be playing this weekend?

Thanks.

The concert will be by the Lovin Spoonful this weekend (closing weekend)

I saw Felix Cavaliere & the "Rascals" last Sunday. The rest of the band besides Felix were all very young guys, so I'm sure no one else was original. Eddie Brigati, one of the co-writers of many of their big hits, wasn't with them.
I really enjoyed the few Rascals tunes that they did perform, Good Lovin', Groovin, It's A Beautiful Morning, How Can I Be Sure.
Oddly, with all the material that they could have done, they chose to do covers of other artists from that era. They did La Bamba (Richie Valens), Foxy Lady (Jimi Hendrix), My Girl (Temptations) & a Led Zeplin song. The guitarist sang How Can I Be Sure but his voice really didn't do it justice. He just didn't have the range & the high notes never were hit. The original was sung by a very young Eddie Brigati 37 years ago. Anyway, Felix still has a great voice & can rock the keyboard. He was introduced as "Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer, Felix Cavaliere". I got his autograph on my The Very Best Of The Rascals CD, which has 16 songs on it & I highly recommend, even if Felix has a little less hair than the kid in the picture!
:rockband: :cool1:

Eljay- thank you so much for your report on the Felix Cavaliere Rascals. I can't get away on holidays.

I guess they did not perform "See", my personal favorite...

We were at two shows on Saturday and they didn't perform "See".

Interesting that at the begining of the performances (except Arlo Guthrie) they make an announcement to the effect "No video photography at the request of the Artist". Has this announcement been made in previous years? I have never heard it the last two years.

I have not been to all the concerts, but many of them. There was only one that announcement was not made -- and I think it was Flo & Eddie. (Saw them twice.) The annopuncemnet was made at the 8:15 Guthrie concert I was at last Friday evening.
The Rascals were VERY good.
DH saw them Saturday evening. And then we returned for the last two shows on Sunday. Not all the same songs were played. A few were, but not all.
Very good overall. One of the better concerts so far, I think. Although they all have been good.

They made the same announcement for Paul Revere and the Raiders.

We were at the Eric Burdon and the Animal's show and they made that same announcemet.

They also did not play House of the Rising Sun. There was a lady sitting two rows infront of me that was quite upset that they didn't play that and played one of thier new songs instead.

We also caught the last show of The Turtles with Flo and Eddie. They were GREAT!! very good and very funny. :teeth:
