Remember the friend who was getting the pool and she gave me alot of stuff? Well, this lily was one of them.

Wow Amid, what great colors on that lily! Pretty pretty!

OK, here goes nothing - I hope this works (crossing fingers and toes!)

I was shocked to find these easter lillies growing behind my rhododendron. We plant our easter lily every year, but have never had one come back. This one came back in multiples!

This is a new rudbeckia I purchased last week - such a great color!

I purchased this shasta daisy along with my rudbeckia. It is a type I have never seen before - called Aglaya. Beautiful frilly blooms!

This will probably be my POTW by the end of the week. It is a monster plant - 5 feet wide and 7 feet front to back! Each spike has at least 6 buds. It will be beautiful soon!

OK, who's next? This is too fun!

No picture, but my POTW would probably be my Bee Balm. It's in bloom , but, it looks kind of shabby. We put it in last year and it was eaten by some nasty varmint. This year it made it to maturity, but I'm not happy with it.........bummed with my bee balm!

Oh Oh! Such beautiful pictures!!! Such gorgeous flowers!!! Thanks for sharing them with us. I love all of them!

I can't believe I am not late for the POTW this time around. I actually have this week PLANTS of the week because I finally made it to a nursery on Sunday!

I bought some form of rudbeckia too, sorcerormickey. But mine are different from yours. The words that come to my head are "more coarser" and "not as delicate". The flowers on mine are larger and (I hate to say this) not as pretty as yours! Anyway, it should be a nice complement to the ones I got from SIL last year whose flowers have finer, skinnier petals.

I also bought some corioposis (spelling error!!!).

Then I got one zinnia and some dianthus and some begonias.

Oh, and I got some stuff to FINALLY put in my planter that I got for Mother's Day. I got a Brazilian Shield Strobilanthes (which I can't find in any of my books) which is just greenery (with white) and a couple of Gerbera daisies and Fantasy Ivory Petunias.

Pictures will hopefully be forthcoming in the next few days.

That's good news Tulirose! I'm glad to hear that your thumb has greened up a bit since you posted this;

DixieDee - That's part of my problem. This was the year, inspired by all my Garden Thread buds, that I was going to plant more perennials and get my yard into, if not a showplace, at least a prettier place. Not only did I never get around to doing all that, I never even did the annuals. Big sigh. I'll just look and admire your photos.

What an awesome picture of the lily!!! That is gorgeous!!!

My POTW, I haven't posted for a couple of weeks, is definitely my Purple Cornflowers!!! We went camping last week with the thought that by the time we'd get back there would probably be alot of blooms and low and behold...I think there are about 50!!!!! It is so totally awesome!!! I know I've been going to post pics but I haven't had time to get them dowloaded...I'm gonna try this weekend!!

Awesome pics! I don't have any pics to share today. My plant of the week is my Love Lies Bleeding. It has zoomed along and is blooming now.

Here is what they look like if you are not familiar with it.

The purple coneflowers, rudbeckia and liatrus are starting their blooming period. They will likely be my POTW next week.
