My ds is doing well with his potty seat over our toilet at home but he is afraid of "big" pottys, I saw a few fold up potty seats that I can use for the airport in case of an emergency but what can I use for the room? I* guess I can try to find a Walmart or something and buy an inexpensive seat for the room. Any suggestions? Disposable covers? What should I do?

Our DDIL had one that folded in quarters and when into a side pocket in the diaper bag. I think she got it at Wal-Mart.

We have the fold up seat and take it everywhere we go! Our one dd is so tiny that she always has to hold the sides of the toilet when using it, which grosses me out. We used the fold up on our last trip to WDW and it worked great.

Does you fold up seat have handles? The one I saw did not.

I second this one. We loved it. Bring extra Ziplock bags to put it in. Also, wipe the seat before you put it down just in case someone sprinkled.

I do not remember all of the toilets in WDW :) But, if it is an automatic flush, I have heard of people using a post it note to keep the toilet from flushing. There is nothing worse than using the potty and either being terrifed by the flush or being slplashed.

Have a great trip pixiedust:

I third this one! We had a "potty bag" with the potty seat (inside it's own bag), a pack of flushable wipes, post-it notes and a travel size pack of clorox wipes (in case the toilet or potty-seat needed a wipe down). We used the post-it notes several times because the kids got scared when the toilet flushed while they were sitting on it. One toilet kept flushing non-stop and the only thing to make it stop was the post-it. My daughter was freaking out!

We have the Fisher-Price Potty On-the-Go (I've seen it at Walmart and Target) and love it. There's also Potette Plus - 2 in 1 Portable Potty & Trainer (BRU sells it) that seems a little more compact and can be used either as a potty or as a potty seat.

The first potty trained trip we did with our dd I took her foldable seat for the hotel as well. She did fine with that but decided after a couple of days that she was big enough to use the "proper" toilet seat and that was the end of dragging toilet seats around for me!!!

We still have to take the post it notes for the automatic toilets though!

I have brought the toilet ring from home. We wash it & then put it in a plastic bag & throw it in our suitcase.

I also bring the foldable seat for when we are out & about & I bought the paper covers (they are bigger then the ones you pull from the wall) since my oldest was 7 when we went & the foldable seat is too small for her (finally).

It does not have handles, but she's able to sit on it without holding the seat, not sure if that makes any sense. she's so tiny, she has a habit of "falling into" the toilet if she doesnt hold on, and of course, she will not let us help.
