Ben sat on deck twiddiling his thumbs watching the horizan.. Ruby, Megan, Amy, and Danny came shuffiling above deck.. " Are we headed to Tortuga?" Amy asked as she sat next to him.. " Umm probably.." he said shrugging his shoulders..

lol i did not know a 1 year old could talk so much LOL...

" Don't you remember.. its mommy honey.." she said looking at her intently.. " Captain there is a ship approaching and we are coming near tortuga.." Ben said as he walked below deck..

Jamey looked at the girl and then back at Jack tearfully.. " Captain there is a ship approaching!" A few crew members yelled from above.. " I will brb love.." he said softly as he ran above deck..

jamey picked amber up and took her too her room "do you remember this place?"she asked siting on the bed she looked arond she could tell she rememberd she yawend jamey started to sing softly she had never song for any one other than amber she could tell amber rememberd that too then tomas came in the room

" Daddy!" Amber said raising a hand.. Jamey looked at him and tears fell from her eyes.. her daughter remembered her father but not her mother how was that possible..

tomas took amber from jameys arms and huged her "amber me and your mother where thinking we never find you"he said "no i know where my mommy is"she said "i have to find her"she said jamey lied on the bed crying

meanwhile "she is not!"amber insested jamey walked out into the hall right as jack was walking by with tears flowing from her eyes

He grasped her in his arms.. " Dont worry love she will remember.." He whispered at that moment amy and danny came running by yelling and screaming.. " Hey i know why dont you too have ruby and megan take you into town pleassee.." he insisted.. Ruby and Megan happily agreed as they walked into town as Ben followed close behind them..

they stay a while in tortuga dont go past today lol in the story.. unless you absolutely have to

the girls disided it would be funny to try to get away from them so they cut down an aly and ended up on another part of toruga they had never seen

When Ben finally found them he looked at them a moment.. ' nice.." he said rolling his eyes.. " Come on Jack told me we need to get back its almost dark.." he said pulling the little children's hands.. " What are you.. our babysitter?" Megan asked with a laugh.. " No.. i just do what your father tells me too." he said as they followed him back to the ship.. Later that evening Ruby walked into her mothers room which was sprisingly dark.. she lit the candle and looked around the room. The shelves were bare, the clothing chest empty, the bed neat and clean and a note laid on the pillow.. Ruby walked towards the bed cautiously but with all her heart hoping what she knew was coming.. she opened it and read... My dearest Ruby,
I knew you would find this soon enough, but by the time you do find this I will have already been long gone. You dont see this now but i did it for the best my love. Miranda and Jack will take good care of you, they are much better parents then your father and I could have ever been to you. And with this my love i leave you without the time or place in which i left. It is not because of you, I never was meant to be a mother dear, and it was not your fault.

As the candle blew out Ruby sat there for a moment in the darkness, holding back her pain she walked out on deck holding the letter loosely between her fingers.. she stood out on deck a moment, but feel as if she needed to scream as if she need to run a hot steak through her cringing skin she dropped the note and ran into the calmed night streets of Tortuga as she screamed uncontrollabley..

meanwhile amy and danny where hanging around on deck with jack when he found the letter ruby had droped

He took his children and went below deck and put them in bed.. then went down to Ben's room.. " Go find Ruby.." He said with a sigh handing him the letter.. i have to stay here and help Jamey she is in tears and you need to find Ruby, when you find her bring her back here.. He said giving out a long sigh.. Ben sighed.. " Yes sir.." he said dragful tone as he walked out into the Tortugian streets.. ' Where would i go if i was Ruby..' he thought.. ' shes going to get on a ship to port royal i just know it..' he said aloud rolling his eyes as he walked into the Ally way that the girls had escaped into earlier.. He walked down it to see her sitting on the beach, her legs barried in the sand.. " Hey.." he said sitting next to her.. " Gosh just go away, i dont need a babysitter.." she said harshly.. " No but you left this behind.." He said flashing the letter by her.. " I dont need her i dont need anybody!" she said fiercely.. " Im going to Port Royal im going to start a new life by myself a better life!" she said between her sobbs.. " How do you plan to do that with no money and being a women in a world that isnt free as every thought you ever told me was freedom?" he asked.. She didnt answer him she just laid her head back into the sand.. " Fine i have plenty of time.." Ben said as he sat there..

Ruby fell asleep in the sand, as her eyes were shut heavily Ben got up and quickly walked back to the Pearl.. " Jack.." he said out of breath.. as he walked below deck seeing Jack holding his daughter in his arms.. Jack left Jamey a moment.. " Where's ruby?" He asked.. " She refuses to come back.. she wants.. umm.. freedom? In.. Port Royal as she put it sir.." he said looking towards the ground.. Jack rolled his eyes, fine let her go to Port Royal, when she realizes that it is nothing but harsh rules and misery she will want to come right back, that shouldn't take more then a day or so." Jack said with a small laugh.. " Then i can deal with her mother leaving.. Miranda doesn't even know.." he said with a sigh.. " Wait I have to go with her?" Ben said with a disgusted look.. " Yes thats what i pay you for.." Jack said somewhat raged.. " Now go.. the Pearl will be here for a while if you arent back within a few days we will held to Port Royal to find you.." He said as Ben walked into Tortuga.... Ben walked back to the sandy shore where Ruby now sat awake, " So your going to Port Royal?" He asked sitting back down. " No i decided it was irlogical for me to do so, I decided i would much rather stay in Tortuga with piracy itself.. if all logic i thought was right has proven itself wrong then i mine as well join what i thought was vengful." she said starring into the bleak darkness. " Is that so?" Ben asked. The morning had come and they still sat on the sanded beach. " Why are you so persistant on sitting here with me when nobody has forced the hand upon your back to do so?" Ruby asked turning her face to his. " Because.. you need protection.." he said trying to make sense.. " You think I.. Ruby sparrow needs protection?" she asked.. " Yes.. most would think so." He replied. " Mmm. Yes i suppose the stereotype would show that wouldn't it?" she said her upper body falling into the sand, as she fell asleep from her sleepless night. Ben gave out a groan as he starred into the beating sun of daylight. They laid in the sand until night showed once more.. Ruby arose and began walking towards the Ally.. " Where are you going?" Ben asked lifting his head out of the sand.. " Find myself some trouble and maybe some freedom thrown into the mix.." she said as she continued to walk.. " Ruby..." he said in a groaned voice as he followed her.. " I dont need a babysitter and i dont need a protector.." she said as she walked towards the saloon.. " Ruby dont go in there!" Ben yelled after her as she did just that.. As she walked into the rousing crowd she grabbed a rum bottle and sat in a chair by men older gentlemen as she drank from the bottle as if she had never tasted anything so bitter sweet, throwing the bottle against the wall as she finished. One of them men ran his fingers along her chin.. " Your a beauty now arent ye?" he said.. " I suppose id be." she said flirtatiously. " Your much to Beautiful for him.." another man said.. and before she knew it men were fighting over her all around her.. guns were firing swords were slashing.. and out of no where a hand yanked her out of the deadly mix.. " Are you completely insane!" Ben yelled. " No, im not dead am i?" she smirked.. " Hey buddy you want her, fight for her.." one of the men said coming towards him with a sword.. " Ok maybe its time to go.." Ruby said with a bit shocked eyes. Ben grabbed her arm as they ran out of the saloon with the drunken men close behind them, Ben saw a group of couples kissing as music roused and soft lights shined. He pushed Ruby into the mix and kissed her trying to hide her face and blend in with the crowd. His plan worked as the drunken men passed, but the kiss lasted much longer then that. When Ben finally pulled away from her grasp he looked at her abruptly.. " Have you had enough ' freedom ' for 1 night?" he asked.. " Maybe.." she said with a glowing voice.. He looked at her realizing she had gotten the wrong idea.. ( or had she? ) " Ruby that was just me protecting you from those drunken pirates.. nothing more then that." he said with a stern voice looking at her glowing face.. " You.. you didnt feel that?" she said as the glowingness of her face seemed to be replaced with tearful eyes.. " No.." he said in a softer voice looking towards the ground.. " Just take me back to the Pearl." Ruby said in a monotone voice...
As they made there way back to the Pearl Ben put a hand on her shoulder.. " Im sorry Ruby i was just trying to protect you." he said softly. Ruby didnt answer him but just sat on deck as Jack came out to talk to her.. " Do you want to talk about the letter love?" he asked.. " No.. i dont feel like talking." she said simply as she went below deck.. Jack sighed.. " We will be here possibly a few weeks because of long needed repairs, my daughters get crayzier every day so your eyes are open.. always." Jack said as he walked below deck, leaving ben in the darkness on the deck..

Ruby sat on deck starring into the tortugan shore with her wondering, wishful thinking...
