Thanks for letting me know. I'll update the OP.
@DopeyBadger CrD platinum reporting from the first WDW race after the PoT extension—we’re still being put in B![]()
On my way to bib pick up now with a ~2:07 PoT. I’ll let you know where I end up.Big question remaining is what happens with the other POT corrals, particularly the 2:00-2:15 group. The way bib numbers were lining up, it *looked* like they could have been grouped with A, which is apparently what happened at DL Halloween, but it's certainly possible that they have a cutoff so that <2:00 continues to have their own corral. Hopefully we'll hear from someone today about how they're handling it this weekend.

So this is what I expected all along when they first revealed this, and I think it lines up with the pacer chart, but doesn’t match what was supposedly happening in Anaheim in September. Not sure what to make of that, especially given the fact that DL splits people up in more corrals. My ~2:07 PoT is Corral B
I wonder that maybe since (from what I remember) the due date for the POT was pretty close to registration, not as many people submitted a POT as usual? you needed to already have run one and remember to turn it in?So this is what I expected all along when they first revealed this, and I think it lines up with the pacer chart, but doesn’t match what was supposedly happening in Anaheim in September. Yeah my theory was moving up the POT deadline would result in way fewer people being able to get a new one for this race weekend and DL Halloween (and as a result, a potential corral C with just 2:15-2:30 would have significantly fewer people than it could have). The timing for these races was terrible, I think it was March 1 for one of them, and I imagine a lot of people who would have liked to get POT would have aimed to use a Spring race to get it.I wonder that maybe since (from what I remember) the due date for the POT was pretty close to registration, not as many people submitted a POT as usual? you needed to already have run one and remember to turn it in?
Thank you for this wealth of information!
I've been trying to figure out what I need to run to get myself into the B/C corrals based on my pace. I submitted a 1:01:24 for 2025 Princess Challenge and assume I just missed the cutoff for B by a smidge and will be in Corral C?
Thank you!It can always change, but based on past precedent you’re probably just outside Corral B. But come back and let me know if you get otherwise. The windows aren’t completely solid and 24 seconds could be enough to slip in.
DL Halloween seems to have had everyone with <2:15 POT in A, Club runDisney and POT 2:15-2:30 in B, was very unexpected. W&D had <2:00 in A, 2:00-2:15 and CrD in B, and although I don't think anyone here confirmed it, 2:15-2:30 POT should be in C.I submitted a 56:25 10k:
- I was in corral A for Halloween Half
- I was in corral B for wine and dine 10k and half.
At the Halloween half corral A was gloriously small and full of fast runners. Did not see a single person walking.
Corrals at wine and dine were a different story. The A and B corrals were very large and had people walking from the starting line. Not to be rude, but a large segment (estimate 25%) did not seem to have a POT. It really impacted the experience because the beginning of the course was narrow and there were walkers all across the course.
But how did the non-runners get into A? B lined up right next to A and there were a bunch of non-runners in the front of A. I was confused.DL Halloween seems to have had everyone with <2:15 POT in A, Club runDisney and POT 2:15-2:30 in B, was very unexpected. That doesn't really surprise me for the W&D 10k since non-challenge runners slot themselves based on estimated finish, right? I would have thought the corral would have been seeded a bit better for the half given the POT/club requirements. I guarantee the course was probably infinitely less crowded going out of B than it was for later corrals, at least. Plenty of people with POT do choose to walk the races though, so it can vary a lot even race to race.I submitted a 56:25 10k:

For which race? If it was the 10k then some people likely lied about their pace to get an earlier start. Not good but I’m not sure how pervasive that issue is. If it was the half then that’s dicier, A should be just for the fastest POT participants, so I’m not sure what the story would be there. But how did the non-runners get into A? It's so pervasive that runners submitting 8-10 min/mile as their estimated pace were spread from Corral A to Corral D for the W&D 5k/10k. It was similar for this year's MW 5k/10k.For which race? Someone could also have a PoT but decide to walk during the RunDisney race? But how did the non-runners get into A? B lined up right next to A and there were a bunch of non-runners in the front of A. I was confused.
Yeah I had a feeling that was happening, I got put in D for the DL 10k with an 8-10 min estimate and it surprised me at first (this was the race weekend where I had to sign up for the races separately so I got B for the half with POT). The A corral for that one looked like it was very small so I hoped people were at least being honest enough to let the <8 min people get started without the risk of colliding with walkers, but they still wanted to go out earlier so they list themselves as 8-10 min. Of course as I started that 10k from D I immediately had to weave around a lot of people. It's so pervasive that runners submitting 8-10 min/mile as their estimated pace were spread from Corral A to Corral D for the W&D 10k. I found it was noticeable in A. I had to weave a lot at the start of the 10k. Is the 5k done by time too? I got lucky and was like one row of people behind the tape for the second wave in A. I could see the wall of walkers from the end of the first A wave starting to make the first turn when we started. We didn't get to them until the road widen after that turn, so we could get by pretty easily.Yeah I had a feeling that was happening, I got put in D for the DL 10k with an 8-10 min estimate and it surprised me at first (this was the race weekend where I had to sign up for the races separately so I got B for the half with POT). If it’s becoming a noticeable issue in A that’s a bummer.
5k is based on the same pace estimates the 10k. In the case of the Dopey Challenge, you can do POT that will cover the half and full, then an estimate for the 5k and 10k.
