Okay I am the biggest spaz in the universe. I was thrilled that I found this thread and tried it for myself. What am I doing wrong???? Can I get some kind soul out there to HELP!!!!!!


I put the bracket in and it worked!!!!! Thank you. I thought I had to put it in my siggie. I am a spaz. Thanks for unspazzing me!!!!!!

Kitty, try using www.photobucket.com, it is almost foolproof. If you get stuck, send me a PM.

After you set up an account, upload a picture from your PC (do you have picture files on your PC?). After uploaded, go under the picture and just click on (highlighting it) the code line that has IMG. Copy it and come here to a post and paste.

DT, your photo is in photobucket. Click on the edit function by the picture and you can do basic resize right there.

I tried to insert a photo. I reduced the photo to 13 X 10 and it still comes out like this. I'm . How anyone shed some magical light? Any help will be welcome

So that I understand....then you must be using the straight url code from photobucket, and not the one already set with the img tags?

You had me all confused with the initial talk. Yes, what I do is copy the URL address then click on this-->

, paste the URL code and it posts. Easy.

How did you make yours smaller. My photobucket said that it reduced the size, but it doesn't.

13 X 10 is REAL tiny. What are you trying to do? Are you trying to use a picture in a post, signature or avatar?

Jack, you can do a simple edit in photobucket, a button above the picture in your album. Other than that, you need to resize before you upload, with photo edit software. If using photobucket, and trying to make a signature picture, in order to fit their current size rules, I would resize twice, both at 75% of original. Do a 75, then do a second edit, at 75% again. That will bring it to 180 pixels high, a bit under their 200 height rule.

Karen, after you do a resize, you need to do a browser refresh (hit your F5 keyboard key, or the refresh icon on your browser tool bar), so as to clear the cache on your PC. If you do not, and the name of the file is the same (it is if you only resized), your PC s still pulling the original sized file. If you resize again, and again....you still keep seeing the original, even though it is getting smaller.
