Help.... I need help. Can anyone tell me how to post pictures. Im writing a trip report and would really love to post pictures as I am telling my story.

Thanks
Sharon

You first have to upload your pictures to a website, snapfish.com and shutterfly.com are two examples. Once you do that, right click on the picture, then go to properties. Highlight and copy the URL address. Go to your post, then type this:

It's as easy as that!

Or you could upload your pics to http://photobucket.com/. It's free and you only have to click on the img line to bring your pics to your post.

Do you have to have a certain minimum number of posts before you can include pictures, or I'm I thinking of something else?

 Hi Pixeldust Fairy! :welcome:

I think you need 10 posts to include a link. I think she's fine, but if not, then two more posts will do it. :)

Once you upload a picture to a website (I like Photobucket, easy to use) to post them here, click on the picture above the reply box that looks like a mountain postcard and put the url address in there. You don't need to worry about the IMG commands then, it will pop up a box to put the address in and that is all you need to do.

I have to try to do this, I have all my Disney pics on my computer and have no clue how to do it.

Just wanted to point out if you are using photobucket (about as easy of a site there is) that if you use the IMG icon
insertimage.gif
here on the DIS that you will get an extra set of img tags, like this....

castle-avatar.jpg
[/IMG]

rather than this.......

Photobucket sets up the img tags for you, just click below the picture in your photobucket album, in the img code section, it will highlight, copy it and paste here.

NJ, webshots does not do linking, a red x will show, as it does now. You will see the picture for a time, until your cache is cleared of that image file, then you will see the red x also. Try photobucket, just a thought.

Not if you don't put the [/IMG] in the mountain icon box pop up thingy--it takes care of that all be itself Mr 57,000+ posts :rotfl2: .

:teeth:

So that I understand....then you must be using the straight url code from photobucket, and not the one already set with the img tags?

:cool1: YAY IT WORKED

Now, what is the secret to making it a little smaller? Is there a "best size" to re-size photos to when posting them?

Thanks for the help!!
