Danimal is fine today. We got up early and were at DHS by 8:25. There were so many people they opened the park at 8:45 without rope drop. Kind of a bummer but I capitalized on the extra park time. We did RnR, TSM, and the Great Movie Ride before eating lunch and heading back. My mom stayed behind and slept in this morning so we are going to head to the pool now so they can clean our room.

Glad Danimal is feeling better! Is that volcano pool as fun as it looks?! I can't wait to be there hope CL is as great as it seems I love following along with you, and hope one of these yrs WE can get together for a meet! I'll be shy too, but no worries, I know we'd get along famously have an amazing day! Can't wait to hear where you're dining tonight

We just left the pool. My boys were bummed the slide was broke - maybe later.

They're fixing it! It should be open in a half hour. We've been at the pool since 1. My cousin and I came to Capt Cooks for a Mickey bar to refres ourselves.


Marie the pool is every bit as fun as it looks! I really hate to swim and I even enjoy some time in it. I'll take pics of the offerings tonight and post them either tonight or tomorrow. We have no ADR for today. It's just a lounge and CS kind of day!


Okay I forgot to post this earlier but I got attacked by a bird that looked like a crane at DHS! We were eating at Peevy's and this bird jumped on the bench and then the table and scared the CRAP out of me! It then proceeded to rip my burger apart and throw it on the floor to share with his friends. A CM witnessed the entire scene and replaced my meal. I want to speak to guest services about it tonight. I don't want anything from them, just for them to get rid of those awful birds! They kept circling the area after they attacked us and a kind gentleman kept shooing them away. That's a serious problem though. They may try to attack a guest one day.

We were eating at Peevy's and this bird jumped on the bench and then the table and scared the CRAP out of me! It then proceeded to rip my burger apart and throw it on the floor to share with his friends. A CM witnessed the entire scene and replaced my meal. I want to speak to guest services about it tonight. I don't want anything from them, just for them to get rid of those awful birds! They kept circling the area after they attacked us and a kind gentleman kept shooing them away. OH.MY.GOODNESS!! I would have freaked!! Thank goodness you are okay - it really is scary and is a serious issue. Good for you for talking with Guest Services about what happened.

We all went to DHS and it was MISERABLE. Geez Louise we should have just stayed in or I should have left everyone else home! We got off the bus and it started raining. We got to Fantasmic and it started getting heavier. Then it started pouring. Then the complaining started. Things got worse from there. We ended up eating Catalina Eddies AGAIN because no one listened when I said we should have eaten earlier and no one enjoyed it. Lily started getting cranky because she was tired, Danimal was being obnoxious, my aunt got lost, and I got ANNOYED. We finished eating and headed back to the bus. There were already 2 ECVs ahead of us on line so my minor stayed with my aunt sand waited for the next bus and sent me back with the kids. Another adventure. By the time we got back Lily was asleep and I had to carry her back to the room. Here's hoping for a better day tomorrow! Lily is getting her first haircut! Danimal is getting one too.

I know I promised pics of the offerings in the lounge but people were like vultures tonight! They had sushi (california and vegetable rolls), tuna something or other, Kona salad, various crudités, pineapple and caramel, assorted cheese, fruit, some kind of hummus, and uncrustables for the kids.

Hey Dani sorry tonight was a washout! hope tomorrow is sunny and enjoyable touring weather! I'm wondering, have you had a chance to get to DTD yet? Is it best to take the bus from the POLY there, or TTC, or hire a taxi to avoid the transportation issues all together?

I am trying to think about our plan for Mon Oct 1. That day I have us booked at discovery cove for the day. I am hiring a car to take us there and back. Originally, I was thinking of having the driver drop us off at DTD after DC, now I am thinking I might just go back to the room first, drop off all swim wear/ snorkel gear, sunscreen, etc....maybe have a bite of Mon. Night appys ( love sushi!) then head to DTD. Wondering how the busing situation might fare, or if I should splurge for a taxi again to get us DOwn Town?

hmmmm....running plans through my head is all! And when you pointed out Mon night sushi in the lounge, I just had to figure a way to fit that in too!

After my shower last night I discovered I got burned in the pool yesterday despite having on my super SPF. Goes to show you just how much I really do avoid the sun!

I always feel like I am late to the party if we miss rope drop. Sily, I know...but in the 30 years of visits, do not remember missing rope drop (even EMH)....well... maybe it could have happened once or twice when traveling with friends.

Hope the tropical storm drenching the west coast of FL and moving inland passed through during the night and you have a nice, dry day!

(hope the sunburn is okay and not painful).

The first time I took my dh (then boyfriend), he didn't realize the importance of rope drop. It was 8am & what was he doing? He was in the 'library'. We should of been at the MK. I was not happy.

Since that trip he has learned that he needs to grin & bear it & get up earlier to visit the library.
