yes, but she was there on a non party day, that is against the rules...

i will be there on a party day, i guess that is the difference. maybe i will email guest relations to be sure...



lightmoonstone, nope, ive never done commissions, i would take too long i think i started this in march/april. i did this in the little spare time i have around my regular job. thank you though!

There will be NO problem withher wearing the dress to MNSSHP as your allowed to dress up! The other girl went on a none party day.

I went in 2010 in a specially made Tinkerbell outfit and since im 5ft petite curvy and blonde and was asked to please not sign autographs but that i could still go in.
Also DH went as Peterpan and was asked to do the same as me since we was together and both outfits was made by my mum who was a dress maker to my designs then they was not like any of the shop bought ones.

We did pose for quite a few pictures at our resort before the party and had alot of people asking for pictures in the park we just made sure to let them know we was not Cm's ..

I plan on going as Cinderella too but i think im going to go in her Pink dress since not many people do this.

This is our first ever MNSSHP. I posted the picture of a dress that I had already made to a group on fb asking for ideas on how to disney-fy it. The winning idea was Merida, from Brave. So, that's what I'm going to do!

I don't have TONS of money to go towards making it crazy authentic so I got a wig for a fair price on ebay that is similar to Merida:


I'm not planning on bringing a bow and arrow, only due to us flying on a plane and I don't want to pack that. BUT I do have one of the bear plushes like this: Hamish Plushie

That way people will be able to guess who I am, even though my costume isn't exactly like hers.

DH will be wearing some Scottish garb to match me

By the way, does anyone know of where I could buy decently priced corsets? Or semi-rigid corsets? I think it would help a lot with my costume.

have you ever worn a corset? they do take some getting used to as far as breathing and so on... especially in heat, but i have this one, and its rather nice. good luck!!! (grrrr my phone deletes pictures...sorry!)

see a coworker of mine who used to work for disney forever ago said the same thing to me, and i blew her off thinking "yeah that was FOREVER ago you worked there" then hearing it here is what worried me.... it all good

Yes, I have, in fact, I breath like that normally (yes, I'm trying NOT to cause it's not healthy). But I am perfectly okay breathing with a corset, but you bring up a good point with heat ...

i did see it, i just couldnt give a corset answer till i looked it up just wanted to make sure because i have had many friends who laced them up stupid tight and went out clubbing and didnt realize breathing is shallow in them, and with heat added, passing out can happen.... think elizabeth swann i dont wear mine often, but i prepare for a week or so before i do (the cinderella top is a fully boned corset)

You should use stickers to put his name on the front of the hard hat and then a Disney sticker on the side and he can be a Imagineer, even though the hat is not the right color.

lol! No, if it is a corset meant to restrict and reshape, not if it just laces up my bodice reshapes since I have the curves of a 10 yr old, and is built to do that, but I could also not wear it super tight too and I'd be fine, just wouldn't have the tiny waist when it's laced proper and tight it is squeezing your ribcage slightly to make the nice narrow waist, causing slight restriction of the ribs to expand with breath

http://www.80stees.com/ has the best costume t-shirts, which is perfect for the weather and parks. I wore jeans and sneakers with my pink shirt and had pink makeup on.

Love the idea! I had been trying to figure out something comfortable and easy to coordinate for my mom and I. I think this will be juuuust right. Can't get more comfortable than a tshirt and jeans.

Although, I might have to splurge and get some matching Chucks as well...

We are doing Drizella and Anastasia for dd 9 and 4 and the baby will be Conderella in her pink mice made dress. Mostly these are for 1900 Park Faire but I spent so much time by God they're getting more wear out of them so mnsshp it is!

Dh and I are doing rapunzel and Flynn again. He threw his vest away sigh so I'm redoing that now and I didn't love my dress so redoing that too. We leave the 12th! Aaaah. I was doing well until I got a kidney infection last week that sidelined me a week from doing anything and now I'm scrambling. Plus the girls want these Minnie Inspired twirl dresses to wear in the park so I'm spazzing now about how to get it all done!

DS and I wanted to coordinate but also be super comfortable. We're going as Penny and Sheldon from BBT. I'm wearing a pink scoop neck tee and a Penny Blossom in my hair. I've ordered DS the Green Lantern tee that Sheldon always wears. He'll put a long sleeve tee under it if it's not too hot.

I don't have much hope of people recognizing us but DS wouldn't agree to big elaborate costumes anyway!

I guess we are oddballs here. My family and I are going are rock stars. We have jeans jackets personalized with "Disney Rocks". We also have bangle bracelets, converse shoes, leggings, and cool studded jewelry. I have had a blast coordinating our outfits. We plan to put together a video when we return and use fun rock songs. This should keep me busy upon returning with the vacation blues.
