My daughter's costume is now complete.. we mostly used items we already owned ( yes I'm cheap). She's going as the "Princess of Hearts":

My youngest son's is also all set. Construction worker:

I'm still working on the 10 year olds costume.

BRILLIANT!!!!! :rotfl:

I've never had the luck of going to a MNSSHP, hopefully someday I will, but I love reading this thread for costume ideas.

Last year I was Tinkerbell for just normal Halloween :P (not Mickey involved)
it was a home-made costume. (because good luck finding a tink costume anywhere that'll fit an 18 year old!)
here's a photo

i had little white shoes too with bows made out of some leftover green material.

All I did was buy a little white dress at Wal-Mart and then some sheer, sparkly lime-green fabric at Fabricland, and I sewed the fabric onto the dress.
And the wings were really cheap from some costume store. :goodvibes

If I ever get the chance to go to MNSSHP, I'll definatley have to bust out that costume again.

So simple, yet so cute!!! :thumbsup2

I'm doing a teal pick up knee length skirt. It has buckles so it scrunches up. Underneath I have a wire frame bird cage skirt that peeks through.

Thats all i got so far. :rotfl2:

You should use stickers to put his name on the front of the hard hat and then a Disney sticker on the side and he can be a Imagineer, even though the hat is not the right color.

HAHA - I just saw this comment.

Outside of maybe a dozen Guests most just gave us weird looks. I'm guessing we'll get a similar reaction to our costumes this year as well. :rotfl:

We submitted this photo of our costumes to the Cast Member photo costume contest and won!

I live your costume and know exactly who you are, however I'm not sure I would have gotten it right away if I saw you in the parks, it would have taken me a little bit.

We've been working hard trying to get our costumes "figured out".
I think we finally have the blueprints done, but we still have to find the materials to make it come together.
We leave in a week, so I hope we have time to get it finished.
If it all comes together, I'll be sure to post pictures from the party.
Wish us luck!!

DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok with mine anyways.... its so pretty i can cry! sorry i had to be a total aw.

This is our first ever MNSSHP. I posted the picture of a dress that I had already made to a group on fb asking for ideas on how to disney-fy it. The winning idea was Merida, from Brave. So, that's what I'm going to do!

I don't have TONS of money to go towards making it crazy authentic so I got a wig for a fair price on ebay that is similar to Merida:

I'm not planning on bringing a bow and arrow, only due to us flying on a plane and I don't want to pack that. BUT I do have one of the bear plushes like this: Hamish Plushie

That way people will be able to guess who I am, even though my costume isn't exactly like hers.

DH will be wearing some Scottish garb to match me :goodvibes

By the way, does anyone know of where I could buy decently priced corsets? Or semi-rigid corsets? I think it would help a lot with my costume.

I had to show some of my coworkers your dress this morning. It's absolutely gorgeous!!! :lovestruc
Great Work!!! :worship:

It's a natural progression, right? :lmao:
Actually, she has two other costumes though that she will wear more. She has a custom made Aurora/Briar Rose she'll wear on 9/27 so she can have her own natural hair down (no wig!), and then on 9/30 she'll split the night between Rapunzel & Merida. I have to remake her Merida dress with the better fabric I have as well as make the cape and accessories. This was the test dress

OH MY.. that is a beautiful Merida wig! Where did you find it? At my high school everyone dresses up for halloween and I can sound just like Merida, so that is what I am planning on being! But I cannot find a good wig to save my life.

This has got to be the prettiest Cinderella costume I have ever seen bar none. It's even better than the ones the CMs wear. Bravo! You're very talented! :worship: I can't wait to see pictures of you wearing this to MNSSHP!
