Post Your Favorite Vegetarian Meals, Snacks, Appetizers HERE

I second...third..and fourth...the Coral Reef sandwich at Columbia Harbor House...the vegetarian chili in a bread bowl was way too much bread and way too little chili for my liking.
Tusker House offers a vegetarian sandwich composed of portabella mushrooms and accompanied by a side of grapes...the grapes outshined the sandwich....I personally would not recommend it.
The ABC Commissary has a decent vegetable Lo Mein...(no chicken broth)...
BOMA...BOMA...BOMA....Excellent vegetarian selections here !!
The best vegetarian dish by far....50's PTC at MGM Studios...VEGETARIAN STUFFED PEPPER...truly awesome....
Have a great time !!!

I had an excellent grilled vegetable platter in the upstairs dining at Wolfgang Puck's. The portobello was to die for!

Kimonos and Wolfgang Puck's upstairs dining are my favorites.

BTW...all of the beers at Big River Brewing on the Boardwalk are vegan. It is quite difficult to find beers not made with isinglas, but they've done it!...and done it very well!

HI,
I would say that Kona Cafe had some great options when we were there in the Fall.
I had a great tomato/parmesan soup and my husband had a great thai noodle dish, it was really spicy but he likes it that way.

I find by asking what is available instead of just reading the menu always helps, the kitchen will always have a great veggie option.

My husband and I were thinking of contacting Disney and wondering if they would ever offer veggie dogs, because that would be such a great and easy option for all of us especially with little ones that do not really enjoy mac and cheese on every menu.

Another vote for BOMA!!!! They have lots of wonderful no meat selections and everything was sooooo super yummy!! :) My 2 1/2 yo LOVED their three hummus selections as my DH and I did too, but she along with the flatbread ate quite a large meal from it!!!

BTW - this is a great thread. I'm enjoying the responses!

I'm enjoying this thread and copying all of it to give to my son and DIL. We are giving them trips to DVC as a present for their graduations from law school and since they're both vegetarian's this thread is very helpful.
Love these boards!!!:D

Awesome!

I would recommend sending them with the guide I mentioned above, as well.

I cannot wait to try this when I go in September. I absolutely LOVE veggie-stuffed peppers.

I am impressed with the vegetarian selections at both AKL restaurants...now I don't which PS to make for me and hubby...Jiko or Boma? Both sound amazing, but it seems as though Boma has the edge.

If memory serves me correctly - Cosmic Ray's at MK has a pretty good veggie burger.

CRSNDSNY, Thanks for the suggestion. I will check into getting the book this week, so they'll have plenty of time to go through it.
:bounce: :bounce:

DH and I are not vegetarians, but here are a few of the meatless items we had on our last trip.

Appetizers:
Roasted Acorn Squash Soup - Jiko
Roasted Garlic and Four Cheese Flatbread - Spoodles
Kalamata Olive Flatbread - Jiko

Entrees:
Pad Thai - Wolfgang Puck Cafe (DH added shrimp, but available without)
Orechiette Pasta - Brown Derby (DH added chicken, but available without)
Pumpkin Ravioli - Wolfgang Puck Cafe

All were good, but I would give the biggest thumbs up to the Roasted Garlic and Four Cheese Flatbread and the Pumpkin Ravioli!

According to the description on Deb Wills' site:

Roasted Pumpkin "Mezzaluna" Ravioli - half moon ravioli, brown butter glaze, pine nuts, crispy sage, drizzled with port wine glaze $13.95

It was excellent!

My fiance and I are vegetarian, and our favorite meal at WDW is the vegetarian dish at the Coral Reef in Epcot:

Roasted Garlic Marinated Tofu Over Jasmine Rice Blend and Spicy Vegetable Coulis

YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

followed by............

The Chocolate Wave for dessert-
can't beat this vegetarian meal! :)

We also fancy the veggie burgers at Beaches & Cream, the veggie plate and tabouleh wrap at the Tangierine Cafe, and another vote for BOMA as being an awesome place!

We also like the Veggie sandwich and the mac n cheese at Tusker house.
I could go on and on....................:p
