Post regarding hidden beach at Nassau/Freeport?

This may seem like a very broad question......but does anyone recall a post regarding a couple taking a taxi to a somewhat lesser known beach at one of the Eastern Ports of call?

The beach wasn't a "secret" or "secluded" beach.....but a lesser known beach that wasn't included in one of the regular "Excursion" beaches.

Whats worse is that I don't recall if it was at Nassau or Freeport....

I think it was called "Discovery Bay" or something?

Ring a bell for anyone?

I don't know about Freeport, but on Nassau you can ask a cab driver to take you to the public beach on Paradise Island. It's down the street from Atlantis...it's free, and you can purchase water sports such as jet ski rentals, parasailing, and banana boat rides. The cost is $4 per person each way.

We went to a place called Paradise Cove at Freeport. It's been over a year so I don't have the link handy, but you can find it on Yahoo. We caught a taxi at the pier right away. It took about 25 minutes but we were there shortly after 10 and left at 1 to go back to the ship for lunch. It seems to me that the whole thing (taxi both ways, park entrance fees, rental of one snorkle set and an air mattress for the kids) cost about $60 for the four of us.

I heard about it here and have also posted about it in the past. It's way out in the boonies but we just arranged for the taxi driver to come back for us. We ran into several other people from DCL there too when we were showering of to leave. We recognized each other from the towels. I was surprised to run into them because there were very few people there.
