This is a post where people can share ideas of a book or story that you would love to see a Disney movie out of. They could be completely new fairy tales they haven't done yet, or probably stories they wanted to do but couldn't (for example, Renart the Fox). Here are two examples I had in mind, feel free to add your own:

- Donkeyskin - this is an obscure fairytale that as far as I know, was only referenced in the video game Wolf Among Us. It's about a princess who escapes marriage by donning a magic cloak made from the skin of a donkey and eventually discovering a prince who could see past the cloak and know her true beauty. I would like to see a version involving either homosexuality or overweightness, two pretty common worries kids have.

- Windhaven - written by George R. Martin, this novel takes place in a land made almost entirely of water and the only way for people to traverse this giant world was by flying with mechanical wings. That description alone just screams Disney, and fortunately, unlike the strictly adult Game of Thrones, this story is kid friendly enough to work.

Okay, the obvious one here for me is a Kingdom Keepers book. The books have already proved the concept and it would be just one more way to get people to experience the parks...not that Disney really needs MORE people inside the parks right now. But I've read (most of) the first book and I like the feel of it. I would go see a movie based off that.

I also really want to see Disney do a strong Christmas movie. The Santa Clause (1994) and Muppets Christmas Carol (1992) are two of the best ones and they were more than a decade ago. Their latest effort in the 2009 "A Christmas Carol" was a little bizarre and didn't even make back its money for the studio. Frozen, The Good Dinosaur, The Force Awakens, etc. are all movies that come out around the holidays, but they aren't specific to Christmas. It's a long way to say Disney should look into a christmas story. Maybe something like the gift of the magi, or the little drummer boy.

I would like to see a Disney or Pixar animated adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. I would also like to Disney take a crack at Lemony Snickett's A Series of Unfortunate Events . . .I'm not sure if they should do this as a live action or animated film. They could make one and if it's successful then commit to the entire series. These could lead to interesting theme park rides. I would also love to see a remake of Dr. Syn Alias the Scarecrow with either Benedict Cumberbatch or Colin Firth in the title role.

I would love to see a remake of Dr. Syn.

This was actually a joke Tom Hanks made on one of the late night shows but he said a movie about an elite team of dogs that protect the president's dog. I thought it was genius. It's a cute idea that the presidents dog would also have a dog secret service.

It sounds great. What about a remake of the Island on top of the world? i also believe buying the rights for a comic book series called ElfQuest would be good idea?
