Post Disney Response re: May Hours Here

We will be there starting May 12th, so I may not get a real reply until we are actually on site, but at least it's another vote for extending the hours and adding the parade!

Got home today to find a very long message on my answering machine from WDW.
She said she was calling in response to my email.....I had emailed my concerns about the April hours and "peak" vs "regular" season, etc.....
Anyway, she said that they appreciated my feedback, ya-da, ya-da, ya-da...... And that they were sending the message to the "leadership in the appropriate departments".
They are trying to be "reactive" to the guest's feedback.
She went on to say that the hours for a couple days have been extended since my email was sent (and yes, I knew that! Yea!).
And that many changes are occuring daily.
She said that we should be sure to check on the park hours and parade schedules as soon as we arrive next week.

She did leave a phone # to call if I wished to speak with her....I may call next week just before I go.
And she was very pleasant on the message.

So FWIW.....I think they do pay attention to what the guests are saying!

I emailed them April 5th with my idea of trading off park hours with the Studios and still haven't had any response other than the "automated" one I received after I sent the email.

Thanks for the link-looks like we will get FITS and Spectro on May 1, 6 and MK open until 9pm. Hope it's true!! Yipee!

I just called Disney to check on this info. They confirmed that on May 6 and 10 there will be Spectromagic and Fantasy in the Sky fireworks. I only asked for May 2-11th hours for MK. May 2-5 and May 7-9 the MK is open 9-7, May 10 is 9-9. I hope this helps!

I am so ecstatic about the change

This will be our 3rd trip to WDW and the first time we will be able to see Spectro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're down to the single digit dance!!!!!!!

This is AWESOME!!! This is our first ever trip to WDW (and prob the only trip for the next decade!!) and we were sooo disappointed that we wouldn't see Spectro OR MK Fireworks! Now we get both and according to the schedule it will be on a Tuesday night...which I'm assuming will be better than doing it the Sat night of Memorial day weekend!! If it was becuz of all the emails, calls...THANK YOU TO ALL!!!!

I am soooooo thrilled!! At first no nights of Spectro or Fireworks the entire time we are there....and now 2 whole nights of both!! Woooohooo....now to get my PS's rearranged! LOL Gotta love it!

Thank you, thank you for posting that info, mom_rules! I was hoping against hope that we would have an e-night for our trip (5/10 - 5/19), and now we do!

I guess this little petition did the trick, although I would have loved to have an e-ride prior to the tenth. . .DH and I are leaving on the 10th (boo-hoo!) but the fact that MK is open until 9pm on the 6th (which, ironically, is our third aniversary) is enough to make me happy. Have fun guys!!!

P.S. Maybe if we're even luckier, they'll change the hours for Epcot as well. DH and I were looking through videos of past trips and found that when we were there in May of 2000, we had a fast pass to return to Test Track between 9:55 and 10:55 pm so guess we'll have to wait and see. . .

We will be at MK on 5/17 with friends that have never witnessed the magic of "Spectro" I was sooooo pissed that they werent havent it..but, now...
