Tlhunter - The postcard codes are for that recipient only - you have to show the postcard at check-in (from what I've been told) so that the code can't be distributed and used by the masses. It's a totally random thing - you can't request a postcard or get put on a mailing list for one... if you get sent one, then use it if you can, but it's not a free-for-all.

What? I just called CRO and used it. I saved over $1000 by using the posted code. CRO did not say anything about bringing in a post card. She just took the code and yellow code number. Do you think they will request a post card at checkin?

The yellow code is like a PIN number only the recipient can use it. I have been a past postcard recipient --- hope I am lucky again. If not I will stick with my AP rates.

I wonder if this means that general codes are soon to be released.

Hi guys,

I called CRO this morning and the code listed must be used with a PIN number. The PIN number identifies the individual person that the postcard was mailed to specifically. You cannot use this code without a personal PIN. This is a direct mailer and it is only sent to specific demographic groups.

The one positive thing is that this may indicate that other "codes" may soon be announced.

Misti, Why did you edit the postcard message. I would like to try the postcard discount myself. Maybe CRO would have let me use it too. Is there a reason for the edit?

I edited the postcard PIN number. That is meant for the person holding the card only. Feel free to call CRO with the code listed. However, they will ask you for a PIN number to book. It is the policy of this board that we only post promotions that are available to all guests. Unfortunately, there have been situations in the past where guests have used "codes", "pins" etc seen on internet boards and found at check-in that they would have to pay full rack rate since they did not in fact qualify. To eliminate such situations, we created a DIS Discount page where codes would be posted that were available to anyone.

I just called CRO and tried to find out if the postcard rate is better than the AP rate I have for Poly GV Concierge. It is exactly the same rate that I have. So now I don't feel as bad if I don't get the post card. Thanks for the info.

Lucky, what rate do you have for February? I have AKL concierge for $277 AP rate. I would like to not buy an AP but I think it is worth it. We are also going middle of February.

We have 3 adults and 2 kids (4 and 1), so our rate is a little higher than the regular rate. I am paying $294.37 (including tax) for each night. I hope this helps. CRO said that the AP rate is the best rate available currently, even the post card won't have a better rate.

Joelle, thanks for posting! It is great to hear that postcard rates are now being seen. Glad to see you found such a great savings for your dates. No reason for apology. Just wanted everyone to know that codes that require a PIN are usually meant for a specific individual. You may or may not be asked for the postcard itself though. Have a great trip!
