Post all SW questions concerns, etc. here...

To be fair, when booking on points, only the person whose points were used to book a reservation can make changes or cancel on the SW website.
Thanks for explaining that.

While we have points in our accounts it has been years since we have done one and have been booking with cash only.
We have been spoiled by the $430 Costco gift card deals plus credits from other credit cards.

I thought in the past it didn't matter who's account I had logged into to modify and get the points back but that must have changed.
We have never canceled a points booking either so that might have something to do with it as well.

It has nothing to do with using points, using My CC, your CC, @TheOneWithTheTriplets credit card, luv vouchers or any other payment.

It states that if the primary card holder is ON the reservation that you can select seats at time of booking.

As long as the primary person’s RR is on the reservation it is supposed to apply this benefit but it is not.

The benefit only is applied when the primary person is doing it in that person’s account and that is the issue.
As I stated in post 16,010 in reply to another poster. The benefit states that the cardholder gets to select seats. The person booking is not the cardholder. Therefore, they don't get to select seats at booking.
Well you can call it unique if you wish but the results were the same that I posted about previously.

On day 1 of seat selection I was logged in with an account that did not have a SW CC and attempted to book 4 tickets. One of the 4 tickets included a person that was the primary card holder of the priority card and their RR account and GE were both on the reservation.
We were then prompted to pay for seats which is not supposed to be the case.
It worked as expected when I had logged in with the CC holders SW account and I could book the seats except for extra leg room for no charge.
This is definitely not how the benefits read as previously posted the primary card holder just has to be on the reservation nothing about them actually paying.

I’m glad @TheOneWithTheTriplets had the great idea and @palhockeymomof2 was able to confirm as working, to book the ticket in whatever account and then modify in the CC holders account to select the seats.

We should not have to go through these extra steps and hopefully it will be resolved shortly.
According to your reading of the terms and conditions, which is taking words at different meanings. It certainly is how the benefits read, they don't have to be paying, but they have to be the one selecting the seats.
There is nothing to resolve. The benefit is being applied as intended.

I completely missed that post.

After you pointing that out I reread footnote 20 and you are certainly correct.

Eyes were drawn a little lower to “up to eight passengers on the same reservation.” which applies to the free bag and not the seats.

So if one person has more points or in my case has all of the traveler information saved in their profile, book the seats there and then switch to the cardholder’s profile to select seats.
