POSSIBLY Increase Chances of Receiving A PIN

This may have been discussed before, I apologize if it has.

Now, let me start by saying I have no insider info. and this is not a "you will definately receive a PIN if you do this" statement but ....
When you are vacationing in WDW, if you are approached by a Research CM and they ask you to take quick survey, I would strongly suggest you do it.

I have received PINs in the past but Nov. '08 I took three surveys during my trip and the amount of PINs I received this year was insane -- in fact, the amount of money I saved for this past trip and the trip I have planned for next year will allow me to upgrade my tickets to APs and take an additional trip! It may just be coincidence and the amount of PINs sent out was increased by Disney due to low crowds but it sure doesn't hurt to spend less than 5 min. answering questions about a place we love to possibly save 40% off your next resort bill.

i wanna pin so bad .....i have 3 saved scenarious for what i hope will be a trip in October. i really, really, really want to stay at the Poly, but when I compare that the Contemp and PORFQ, UGH, it kills me....i'm patiently waiting. but what does the pin look like? email, snail mail?

My family returned a week ago from a stay at the Wilderness Lodge. Just to try my luck with the 40% off deluxe resort pin code that is good year long, I went onto the Walt Disney World site to mock book a Dec 2010 vacation also at the WL and then saved it before initiating anything. Two days later, I get an email from Disney Destinations in regards to my saved vacation plan and it indeed included that same pin code. Obviously, we are now booked for Dec 2010 at the WL!

I registered at the Disney site last Summer while planning my Sept 09 vacation. I put together a few different vacation plans but never put in a reservation (our 9/9 vaca was with rented dvc points). I just got the 20/30/40 PIN this week and so we are planning on going again next Sept! POLY POLY POLY!!!! I am sooo jazzed!

Definitely register on the Disney site to increase your chances! Sign on every once in a while and save different itineraries but don't reserve anything. That's what worked for me

Why didn't you book a bounceback while you were there? The reports I've been seeing have been saying that the bounceback is 40% off at deluxe resorts and there are December dates in there. Sure seems like that would have been less stressful than trying to figure out how to get a pin.

Every trip I have hunted down those researcher guys like they are hidden mickey's. I always make direct eye contact w/ them, smile, and say hello and sometimes just walk up and start chatting. I always take the survey and never got a pin. We took a survey in Sept of this year, no pin. I finally got one by doing the save vacation offers on wdw's site and wait and then visit again save more vacation offers, chatted w/ an online CM, then did their survey and poof got a pin within an hour.

when you exit out of the saved offers,are you filling out the survey box that pops up and asks you why you aren't ready to book your trip yet? Make sure everytime you're on Disney.com that you are logged in....then after you price out your vacations, make sure you save the offers. Once you've done that, go back to the top and click on Walt Disney World (to go back to the main page) A survey box should pop up. Make sure you fill all of that out. Also, if you haven't ordered the vacation DVD, you may want to do that. They have a new option where you can build your own vacation information DVD (it gets emailed to you). it's actually better than the regular DVD. I chose that one day and the next day I got the pin code that was good for most of 2010. I don't know if any of this will work, but I'm wishing you much luck !!

try clearing out your cookies and make sure that your computer is set to allow pop ups. alot of people have had trouble with the pop ups not being allowed. hopefully that should work for you....

YAY!!! I know exactly how you feel. we priced out everything and were kind of resigned to "just do it" because it's a once in a lifetime trip. then the pin code came and saved us $1300!! I almost cried when we got it. I really hope you get it!! Please let us all know when you do!!! whatever you do, just don't give up doing what you're doing.....keep pricing vacas and saving them and doing the surveys. it'll seem so tedious after a while, but I promise, it's SOOOOO worth it. Good luck !!!
