Possible Changes at LeCellier

I was very dissapointed with LeCelliar, there was nothing spectacular about this ADR. I just told my DH that the Canadian ADR was going to 2TS and he could not even rember the ADR. We went with our whole GG and no one called this their favorite ADR.

Tutto Italia was impressive and so was the GF cafe, but not LeCelliar to our group of 9:confused3

I can guarantee I will not make this ADR for 2TS:lmao:

?????? I don't understand even one part of this post.

This thread is about LeCelliar going to a signature restaurant which will result in 2 TS credits on the dining plan.

I was basically saying that I would not waste 2 TS credits on this reservation when there are much better restaurants in Disney.

LeCelliar is totally overated IMHO

:rolleyes1

Sorry, I thought this was about the "It's a Small World" rehab....

So, it looks like getting up at 6am to make my ADR at 180+ days for dinner in Nov. may have been a waste of good sleep?? I have zero plan on "dressing for dinner" at a THEME PARK :confused3 ...even if it is the best theme park on the planet ;) (Yeah, yeah...Bistro de Paris-I know---but it makes sense to dress-up if you're going to FRANCE to dine . . . not Canada, for pete's sake! No offense Canada, I'm from the Detroit area and taken the bridge and tunnel into your fun and fabulous country many, many times --- and I know you don't dress for dinner either (even at a steakhouse :rotfl: )

So a Sept changeover would be a definite no-go. A January changeover would be iffy . . . would they close down over the Thanksgiving/Christmas?Holiday season to be ready in Jan? Either way, I've already made my back-up ADR at Tutto Italia ! (I hope to cancel it when and if we find out that this whole crazy idea of forcing LC into a signature dining establishment has been put to rest.)

I wonder if the soup and pretzel bread may change since I could easily see people booking adrs just for those to get oop to avoid signature prices?

really? people would book reservations at the new signature Le Cellier, eat a bowl of soup and the pretzel bread and leave? That sounds a bit like the problem California Grill had when people were making reservations just to watch the fireworks and then they would split without buying any food. (Credit card guarantee took care of that)

Also I don't think we can assume the menu will stay the same...if Disney thinks their new "signature" is going to be full of OOP diners eating nothing but soup and complimentary bread, they might either start charging for the bread and either jacking up the price on the soup or removing it from the menu.

I have my ADR for Le Cellier in November, we have never been there before, I hope they do not change to a signature restaraunt but I have decided to keep a close eye on when they open up ADR's for the new pizzaria Via Napoli and will make a back up ressie there......sure I will be able to talk my party into trying that instead :)

Has anyone answered a question about the Candlelight Processional Package?? I wonder how that will work. I was hoping to book LC for it in December. For the Candlelight Processional package, it is 2 TS credits and you get reserved CP and Illuminations seating. I wonder if that will change :confused3

I have 3 weeks till I make my ADRs. I guess I will have to put in a back-up.

CP went to 2TS credits last year and it didn't matter where you ate or what time. We originally was going to do the lunch for the first seating, but then switched it to dinner (3:30PM) for the second seating of CP.

My daughter said that staff were informed today that LeCellier will become a signature restaurant in January 2010! Not sure if the closure for changes will be in December or whether they will close immediately after Jan 1 and reopen sometime in January....there were no details given for that and unfortunately that's the most important tidbit of info!

Thanks, that is good to know. I'll be booking my January trip soon. I will still be visiting LC as we no longer do the dining plan. Any info whether lunch will be 2TS credit too? I know lunch and dinner at Brown Derby are both 2 TS, so assume LC will be that way too.

We have a family trip planned in December and hope they are open for us to have one more visit but hopefully 2 cause were huge Lecell fans.
