So I'm new to the boards but have been a lurker for a very long time! I've come to get ideas, tips, stories, etc. I want to come and encourage those of you that are so concerned about FP+!
First of all, I loved it! And this is coming from a non-planner extremely spontaneous person!
Part of the fun about Disney is the planning... I love planning for Disney... The only place I plan like crazy!
I found the FP+ to make the planning so much easier for me. Running around for legacy FP always stressed me out, honestly!
Now, I will admit, I am a rope drop person. My kids are up by 6:30am anyways so why would I ruin valuable awake time!
At MK we were able to ride most of the rides in Fantasyland with very little wait, our first FP+ was scheduled at 11:30 at ETWB. No problem! We had a lunch res at BOG at 12:30. Then we had Ariel at 1:30 and BTMR at 3! Everything times out perfectly for us! Of course we skipped SM and Splash though. We still rode lots in the evening w/o waiting POTC, HM, JC, AO, The speedway! Way later we even rode BTMR again as well as some others! Seriously, it was so stress free and enjoyable!
I was also so thankful to have FP+ at HS. When we got there we went straight to TSMM and the line was already at a 30 min wait! So we just waited for our FP+ time and we went to ride single rider at RnRC! I could go on, but I won't go into details! It was wonderful and perfect for our family of 4! So perfect in fact that we became APH for this year and will be going in April for a weekend and October for 10 days!!! I am so excited!!!
