Been considering starting a small side hustle selling lightly used clothing. I've started building up some inventory to get started (Lilly Pulitzer, Burberry, Gap, Loft) but the more I read about Poshmark, the more disillusioned I'm becoming. It sounds like a lot of work to link up to other's "closets" and you can only use your phone to create ads.
Ebay is easier and I do have some good feedback built up from sales I did many years ago (haven't sold anything in many years though). But the fees are discouraging.
I do SOME selling here locally through Facebook yard sale groups. I don't think I make as much here in my rural area, but at least I don't have to deal with paying fees and shipping items.
I know almost NOTHING about Etsy, but I like the idea of "owning" my own business. Any feedback from Etsy shop owners?
ThredUp strikes me as a total rip-off for the seller.... their page of "average payouts" is depressing!
Anyhow.... is there anything I'm missing? Are there "tricks" to selling on Poshmark that I'm not aware of? Other online possibilities? Thanks!..........P
