Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Afternoon everyone!

I have seen and loved far too many tv shows over the past few years and beyond, so trying to narrow it down to just 3 is difficult.

1. What We Do in the Shadows - this is a show based on the film that I never thought would work, but it never fails to make me laugh. I often put it on in the background and have rewatched it countless times, surprised at how many new things and quips I notice each time.

2. The Great British Bake Off - this show is partly responsible for my love of baking, and while I'm nowhere near up to the standard of the participants on the show, it's really inspired me to bake more and try different things. My work colleagues always love the end results too😂

3. Chernobyl - only a limited run tv series, but this moved me and haunted me so much that its always one that sticks in my mind and one I would recommend to anyone who hasnt seen it.

The Brady Bunch - I watched it in syndication every afternoon after school, and as a kid I could tell you the episode just by the opening shot 😆

Franklin and Little Bear - two shows my DS watched when he was small - I loved the calm pace and gentle messages

Jeopardy - because I grew up watching it with my Dad

Soooo many! And we rewatch many shows too. I will try naming 3 spontaneously with my criteria being that they were either groundbreaking or made me laugh.

Hill Street Blues
St. Elsewhere
Seinfeld

Honorable Mentions:
Big Bang Theory
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
All versions of Star Trek and Stargate

And because I can’t resist
Current Shows that I can’t miss:
Elsbeth
Only Murders in the Building
The Bear

Happy Wednesday Friends

#1 - TODAY - I’m always grateful when I open my eyes and know I’m blessed with another day.

#2 - TV - Our kitchen TV to be exact. I grew up with a TV in the kitchen, so because I’m used to that, we’ve always had a TV in our kitchen. I can’t imagine not having one. I use it every day.

#3 - TUESDAYS - I start work at 1:00pm on Tuesdays, which is nice for making any doctors appointments or other types of appointments.

TV shows (this is in response to yesterday's question, not today's!)

MASH
West Wing
Six Feet Under

"T" things... SO many things from which to choose!

TV. I don't "watch" a lot of TV, but it's often on for the company. My mother always had the TV running, mostly game shows during the day and sit coms at night, so TV noise is like the background of my life.

Toilets... indoor plumbing. Enough said!!

Tomatoes, tuna salad sandwiches, tofu, tangerines, truffles, tortilla chips, tea... so many "T" foods!

2. The Great British Bake Off - this show is partly responsible for my love of baking, and while I'm nowhere near up to the standard of the participants on the show, it's really inspired me to bake more and try different things. My work colleagues always love the end results too😂

YES!!! I look forward to this every year and all of the little holiday and specialty mini seasons they put out. Paul is also pretty easy on the eyes :)

Lady T - One of my best friends.

Tabbouleh - One of my more favorite treats that can be fairly light and healthy. I even recently had a version that was made with quinoa.

Triceps - For whatever reason, it's my favorite part of my arms to work, which helps motivate me to push through a full arm circuit on the various machines.
